First time at Oscars but not the last. Centrally located, lovely heritage vibe, friendly/welcoming staff, very comfortable room and easy parking. The only issue is that if you're in a room on the road side, you can hear the trucks driving down the main road. Loud!

I loved everything about this hotel apart from the plumbing emanating from room next door - a wee bit noisy but would guess it may only affect a few rooms
Also the air con did not switch in to heat mode - again badly needed the night I stayed
However. overall a lovely central hotel with caring homely touches

What a great historical hotel in the heart of Ballarat. The room was up to date and the staff was helpful with our luggage. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious and the service excellent. There was no problem with parking on site, especially upon our late night return from the Sovereign Hill Aura event.
