The motel is very clean and comfy. Host was very helpful and nice.

Fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Shower not very powerful. Some confusion over how many rooms were booked but sorted fairly quickly.

The instructions for the use of the television were incorrect. I didn’t want to inconvenience staff, however I am glad I did, and they came straight away and fixed it

Can always depend on the rooms being A1 in all aspects.

The bathroom's contemporary design, including the large showerhead, is commendable. The thoughtful provision of bed-making services, despite our short stay, is appreciated. Check-in and check-out communication was seamless. The spacious room represents excellent value.

Very clean and comfortable. Parking at the door. Good position in town. Has been renovated recently with quality furnishings and fittings. Owner was very friendly on check in.

Didn't like our pillows which we lumpy and hard The mattress had a wire spring sticking out the side which poked into me if I sat on the edge of the bed.. Otherwise though the bed was comfortable

Comfortable little room with brand new bathroom and great shower head. Comfortable bed. As someone who finds it hard to sleep with any amount of light, I appreciated that the exterior lights went off at some point so that the room was dark enough to get a decent sleep. Friendly service.

Great place to stay. The rooms are clean and newly renovated.

The staff were helpful and lovely to talk to. The room was clean and more comfortable than we expected. It was also great to see a EV charger on the property, so we will be coming back if we are travelling in the part of Victoria again.

A quiet retreat. Located on the main road through town but very quiet in our room. Extremely helpful staff in accommodating a very late check in. Rooms are clean, tidy and offer all the resources you need. Very happy to have chosen the Otway Gate Hotel and would happily do so again.

unpleasant room air freshener/cleaning compound required opening front window to air the room. Open front window meant we heard main road traffic disturbing our sleep
