No elevator…. Need to drag two big luggages up to the third floor… The room reminded me of the college dorm… definitely won’t visit again.

房間有點舊及燈光不足，由於用上了紅色窗簾，會令房間顯得有點陰森。 空間充裕，有小露台，可遠眺山上小屋群，風景不錯。 房間的收費小食和免費提供的樽裝水、咖啡及荼包等放在同一位置，亦沒仔細列明那一項是收費或免費，容易令人混淆，建議取用時先跟職員確認。

Good location and easy to find. However, the car park is limited and need to go there earlier. The room is clean but a bit old.

Nice quiet room and comfortable beds. Parking included. Friendly staff.

The location is perfect for us. Also the last two times we stayed, we were on ground floor, which is good for us as there are no lifts. When we checked out the first time the receptionist was happy to book us a similar room. We appreciated this. All in all very happy and would gladly recommend this hotel.

Had building works when we stayed. Was a great location to walk into town. Friendly staff.

Quick overnight stay

Would have been nice if had of mentioned on the website there where works been undertaken at the front of the building

Bed only 6 inches away from the wall. TV & Phone not working upon arrival. Shower was fantastic though and convenient to city centre

Such an icon to Launceston! Neat, tidy ok for a night! But the rooms are a bit tired. Even though they're old, a few small updates can help to freshen things up. One of our bathrooms was very pokey, and difficult to move around. The toilet roll was out of reach too. The bedding and towels are crisp and white. Good heating, and good mini bar options. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Parking was tight. Looking forward to the finish of the new part being completed. Looking good so far! ...

Nice hotel

Highly recommend the King Room (no. 222) as it has lots of space and two walls of windows giving lots of lovely light, including a bay window.

great location and and quite affordable for a city hotel. I have stayed here before, and always get the "Expedia room' not what the picture shows, which was disappointing, and wish that they would show the room they are selling instead. Very deceptive.

The room we stayed in was in need of some TLC

Staying at the Colonial was an enjoyable experience, access to the Three Steps Restaurant facilities was wonderful. Staff in the office, housekeeping and dining room were very proffessional. Should we travel to Launceston again we will book the Colonial

Clean and quiet. I would recommend it.

Our 4 night stay

A very nice stay -- and good value for money. Rooms are quite large, in a more traditional style. Staff were very friendly. Gym needs a bit of work, and need to navigate stairs which may be tricky for some. But, well worth the price and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. And location is brilliantly convenient to the CBD and parks.
