Serenity is in a great location with just a short walk to Picnic Bay beach, pub, cafe, Italian restaurant and brewery. Damon and Moira are fab hosts and go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

Sally and the staff were very hospitable and always available. Couldn’t have asked for better accommodation, had everything we needed. The grounds are very private and each villa has their own courtyard. The saltwater pool is lovely and always clean. Convenient location and you can walk to a netted beach, restaurants and bus stop. Definitely worth considering Serenity accommodation!

The Serenity is a very clean and cozy place to stay. The place can be easily reached by bus or taxi from the port and the prices for those are very reasonable. The rooms are very clean and there is a small touch of luxury in the décor. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Was a great stay ,close to beach and pub which had great meals . Very quiet and relaxing . The owners and lady worker were all so very nice and nothing was a problem if you wonted or needed anything . It’s was a very comfortable unit only thing we needed in there was a chopping board and tongs . We enjoyed our 4 day get away and will come back to unit 2 . Thank you

A wonderful stay, was everything we needed and more

Set of units located in a very quiet Bay on Magnetic Island. Offers exactly what is described and close to local food and transport. Some of the best meals we have had out in a while - breakfast or dinner Fantastic owners with great communication. Nice and clean. Thanks for the relaxing and effortless stay.

Everything was newly refurbished and immaculately clean. The tea and coffee amenities were really a nice touch along with the fresh flowers. We absolutely loved everything about Serenity!

The manger/family live on the premises and are all lovely people however, I felt they didn’t have much idea on what reasonable guest expectations are as the guests are the ones paying to stay in what you are thinking when booking is a clean, landscaped grounds and tranquil quiet environment as it is advertised as in photos. I was hesitant in booking this place after reading what reviews I could find but the reviews all seemed to be written some time ago (last one I found written July 2016) I assumed that Management would have picked their game up unfortunately this is not the case, the last bad reviews are still all very true. We had an 8 night stay at Serenity on Magnetic also known as Magnetic Holiday Units and Valentine on Magnetic in unit 3.On arrival even the taxi driver didn’t know if he was dropping us off at the right place as there is no “Serenity on Magnetic” signage. The unit was neat and tidy however, I the kettle had dead ants in it, sink had ants crawling all over it, mosquitos flying around and no insect spay provided in unit (had to next day from supermarket) There were dirty finger prints all over stainless kettle, toaster, fridge and toaster still had crumbs on the top of it. Freezer has rusty shelf in it. Remotes for TV and air conditioners filthy as well as all light switches. Dirty windows, stains on carpet in main bedroom, light bulbs blown in kitchen and outside sliding door. Bed mattresses very uncomfortable due to obviously being cheap.

Picnic Bay was a wonderful location. Relaxing stay, but unit was not cleaned at all during our stay. We had to ask for every thing eg. toilet paper, bin liner and even fresh towels.

Apartment in bad condition, no upkeep, fridge/freezer didn't work at all, unclean and coachroach poo in all cabinets. Pool area a dangerous hazard with decking nails exposed. Nice man that ran/ owned place but very disappointed with accomodation. Area has nice beach, one pub ( good food) but no other stores for basics(bread, milk etc)
