Great value for money! Walk to Marouba Beach, wonderful Irish Pub downstairs for dinner, Woolworth market next door, huge rooms clean comfy beds. Small family owned hotel— highly recommend!

Great location close to the beach and shopping

Very close to an express Woolies, chemist etc and short walk to the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but a quick scrub of shower tiles is needed.

Very happy with our stay. It is not a high-end hotel, but it is very convenient and the staff were excellent. Maroubra has so much to offer.

Great position with easy walk to beach front. A small woolworths right next door and a great Irish pub underneath! The rooms were sooo quiet you would never know there was a pub in the same building! Would definitely go back! I had the best shower I've had for a long time...

Check in was good. Room was very dusty and hot water kettle was not cleanedafter previous guest used it. Not satisfied.

Honestly for accommodation above a pub, Southend is amazing! The rooms are newly renovated, large and super comfortable with their own bathrooms. Staff are so accommodating and we had leak from balcony in our two rooms due to extreme weather and they moved us to new rooms straight away, provided us with free drinks and continually checked on us. The food at the pub below is delicious and the vibe is very warm and friendly! Highly recommend. Area is super close to the beach as well.

rooms recently refurbished, everything works, no noise from pub, serviced daily, pub bistro handy and good. 20 stairs, not helpful because of heavy rainfall, and moving in & out. Parking bad when pub open, good out of hours. Staff very helpful. No toilet brush, strange.

This was a one night stay for work but the room was perfect, clean and tidy and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Easy walk to the beach and the walk along the headland was perfect.

Clean pleasant rooms, good location good value

We arrived late and staff were very helpful and our flight the next day was not until later in the afternoon so the staff helped us out and locked our bags in the office while we walked to the beach. All the staff were very helpful 10/10. Thank you.

We found the Southend Hotel to be clean and comfy for the nights accommodation we required. Although the pokies were an addition we didn't know we would hear, but only when the balcony door was ajar.
