Perfect for a couple of days in the Blue Mountains. Comfortable bed, great shower, had everything we needed. Easy to walk to Leura for coffee, shopping, walking trails.

We stayed in the Priest’s Cottage. Ideal for a couple. Plenty of space and a real homely old fashioned feel. Charming but slightly dated. Nice outdoor sitting area with table and chairs and access to huge large gardens behind the property. The owner was very welcoming and we enjoyed the offer of half price Devonshire tea and a visit to the teapot museum.

Beautiful large property. We stayed in the convent, which also had a sun room. Large living area & kitchen, very good heating & a fire. Can be two or three bedrooms.

Overall property was run down and in need of maintenance.

This was amazing place to stay the house had everything you wanted. The grounds were great for our grandchildren lot of space to play. Also only 5 mins to Leura Village. We are looking forward to going back next holidays and staying longer.

Wall and ceiling cracks, floors are bouncing and making lots of noises even a light footstep, this is really annoying. Also, all the handles at the kitchen need a good clean, they are sticky hence feel dirty, this includes all the cabinets, stove and fridge. The freezer is filthy. The kettle and toaster are rusty. Nice fireplace and sunroom.

Well appointed, quiet location and a short walk to Leura Mall. Internet very slow/non existent.

I am absolutely disgusted at the way the owner (who lives on the property) has treated me during my stay and the rude and threatening text message I have received after checkout. This owner has admitted to following me in my car after checking out!! Who does that!!! We were two women 51 and 42 years old on a weekend away. We DID NOT have any music or anything playing but we were telling stories laughing and having what we thought was a good time only to have this owner BANGING on the door at 11pm threatening to call the police on us for the “noise”. Nowhere did it say that the walls and floors are paper thin and that we had to be silent during our stay. I would NEVER recommend this property to anyone. It’s been hours since I checked out and I’m still upset and disgusted. Who threatens their guests!!! He literally threatened me by text and verbally!! HORRIBLE!

This was a great place to stay! We enjoyed it so much and would definitely come back. Perfect if you’re looking for a little cottage with full privacy and not many other people around.

Such a unique and beautiful place to stay. It had a wonderful energy and was incredibly peaceful and relaxing- everything you need is there- so well thought out and catered for. The local village in walking distance is adorable.

Review for Priest's Cottage Good location on the quiet outskirts of Leura and easy walking distance to the Mall for shops and restaurants (we recommend The Bunker). Easy self check in and well equipped property but we could barely get warm enough as we couldn't figure out the heating from the A/C unit. The bed was too soft for us, but some might like it. It was certainly nicely prepared. The bathroom looked a bit Cell Block H, but the shower was actually one of the best that I've used for a long time - very powerful blast of nice hot water.

Easy to find, easy to check in, great location. The cottage is VERY comfortable and will not disappoint. One thing that I would suggest is - please do the dusting! I would have liked to know more history - what order of nuns lived at the convent? What was the work of the order? What was the entire time frame of the property?

Nice place. Very clean. Only issue is that we rented the part of the venue which sleeps 5 - it was advertised as 2 double beds and a single portable. The only issue is that while one of the doubles was in a sealed bedroom, the other was in the open plan living area, so the couple that slept on that had no privacy from anyone needing to pass through the lounge room, and also had the person in the single bed in the same room as them. This is not advertised, and the photos avoid showing that the configuration is like this. I would suggest updating the photos to show this, especially as it’s pretty expensive. Other than that, or if this isn’t an issue for you, the place was very nice.

Lovely quiet area but still close enough to walk into Leura in about 5 minutes.

While it is an old religious property, the gardens and cottage were great.

Really enjoyed our stay at St Raphael. The Priests Cottage is quirky & cosy. The heater in the bedroom room was very welcome in the cold mornings & warmed the room instantly. Great shower & all you needed in the kitchenette to prepare most meals if eating in. It stands in beautiful gardens & is very quiet. Ideally situated just a short walk from Leura but far enough to feel separated from the hurly burly of a tourist town. We were able to follow several walking trails straight from the property but be warned - if you walk to Echo Falls there is no bus back ! So you need to walk back too - it is far shorter walking along the road but no where near as scenic. If staying with a larger group the other properties onsite looked really good. We also really appreciated the use of a guest laundry as we had been travelling around a lot. Great place to stay. Highly recommended.
