From the gorgeous gardens to the huge rooms, our stay at the barn was one of the best on our road trip so far. Dining onsite at the steak house was delicious.. we will stay again if we get to mount gambier again.

The shower could be improved, as low water pressure makes it inconvenient and less enjoyable to use

Pleasantly surprised. I felt like I had booked into a country estate/retreat. Loved the extensive grounds incl onsite veg garden. Didn’t want to leave! Oh on-site steak restaurant superb and the wine list!

Having stayed at the Barn many times In fact since the then new units were built We have noticed many things not keeping up to date with other Hotels No Coff pod machine & in our room 23 the Springs on the bed couch had given up Usually we sit on the outside chairs with a wine but everything was wet from sprinklers most of the time

Simply the best in Mt Gambier, by far

Spacious room, comfortable with lovely outlook over beautiful gardens. Comfortable bed, black out curtains. Good gym by hotel standards. It’s good!

A great place to stay, just out of town. Pleasantly surprised and will be back.

King Suite was a beautiful room. Of course the steak meal superb

The steakhouse here is the best in the land.

The surrounds and gardens are delightful, whilst the property is away from town, it is very quiet..

The property and surrounds were lovely. The room was clean and well-presented. The only negative was that the room was very bright, as the bathroom door is made of glass and the bathroom blind doesn't block the light from the bright external lights. There are also bedside lights that can't be turned off, the wall switch just toggles them between bright and night-light mode. The staff at reception confirmed that this is how they are supposed to operate. Some people may enjoy this feature, so it's not a complaint. However, if you have difficulty sleeping with light in the room, this may not be the room for you. The Barn has many other rooms and units available, and not all of them have these lights.
