We enjoyed our stay, as it has a great atmosphere, with the Casino and plenty of dining options. Also, it is only a 10 minute walk to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. If you love to shop, this is the place to go to, you won't be disappointed. What lets The Star Grand down, are the rooms. They are supposedly updated, but I don't think they look that updated. The bathroom is so small, the toilet is extremely low and I didn't enjoy the shower either (especially the design of the hand held shower). The room is ok, this is just my opinion, others may think it's great. The service in the rooms each day, was done so late in the day, most days around 4.30pm. So if you came back to room thinking you'll have a rest, then go out again, you couldn't. You were waiting for housekeeping to come in. The staff were friendly and polite, so overall, it was a good stay.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at The Star, it was great to take advantage of a special deal, which included breakfast, dining credit and 12pm check out.

Close to Pacific Fair, close to tram into Surfers, close to Oasis and eateries around the area as well as inside the property as well. It was so nice to come back to The Star to once again enjoy all the amenities and how easy it was to get to places in the area.

Enjoyed another stay at The Star, GC. I love how dining and entertainment is right there in the hotel. Staff are friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

We had a good and fun time there.

The star is well situated 10min walk to the Pacific fair mall and roughly the same time to the nearest tram station. The stay at the star has been amazing with friendly staff and great service. The rooms are clean and would definitely be coming back.

The service was lovely, bed comfortable. Room decor was professional, room service food was convenient and nice. Didn't like the mould everywhere: blinds, pictures on walls, surrounding full wall window, on sills, curtains and on near by furniture. Mould is very hazardous and disgusting, was disguised with smell of bleach on entry. Formal complaint was made and will further escalate it if needed.

It’s no wonder the star is struggling, at every point of relationship build, it was estranged, cold check in, QR codes to order and no personal interaction to reorder, having to approach the valet when we arrived.

Great place for a visit to the Gold Coast. Excellent stay for the second time... highly recommend Kiyomi restaurant at the hotel (easily one of the best meals I've had in my life). Very affordable place considering location and amenities.

Choice of Dining options

Suite was very nice (but of course we paid a high price to stay in a suite). Executive Club food and beverages continue to decline. We have been coming to this hotel for over 30 years (and checkin staff have no idea we’ve ever stayed there!!). Executive Club canapés used to be fabulous.. now I’d rate it 1 out of 5.

We didn't like the food casino not fun quite rude and not much areas to smoke for people who smoke. Rooms we found blood spots on bed linen and robes.
