Second time I've stayed - it's a typical ski lodge, comfortable and well-managed. Appreciate the included breakfast!

Room was congested, so many stairs in and out of the place, it was hard to go downstairs and upstairs with luggage. There was no kitchenette or kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room, very limited facilities in the room , you have to go to dining area to make tea/ coffee. If you have issues with knees not a suitable place then.

The room was clean and warm, beds were comfortable with crispy clean linen, the shared bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was fantastic. The drying room and ski/board locker was more than satisfactory and on site parking was convenient also the included buffet breakfast was really nice and all staff were friendly and helpful with the owner/manager and his partner/wife being fantastic hosts.

Fantastic location and veiws, room could have been bigger for four of us. So many stairs to get down and up to catch free bus.

Excellent breakfasts, only once had an issue accessing a shared shower (had to go to another floor) and never the toilets. Room was quite small, but it was a single so to be expected. Showing its age, but gives it a quaint feeling. Staff were all lovely. Parking location handy on the Alpine Way. Be sure to book it if you need it. Surprised to see wallabies around the property in the middle of winter!

Clean and comfortable rooms with heating that is surprisingly efficient. However the bathrooms are tiny and the toilet space doesnt leave much room for movement. The owners were friendly, helpful and cooked a mean breakfast.

A really old school feel about it; this will either be a positive or negative for you. Felt like staying at someone's home as the staff/family were great.

Parking close to the property is an issue. Pricey for such a small single room, small shower area.

Conveniently located lodge in the centre of Thredbo. No frills accommodation but clean and comfortable. The lodge host was very welcoming and provided good insights for visiting the mountains. Close to the village pub and restaurants and a perfect place to explore the mountains.

Last-minute booking at a place I didn’t know which turned out to be a pleasant surprise - a clean, friendly ski lodge catering to summer visitors as well. Helpful and hospitable manager. High up in the village so good views from the room.

My 5 year old daughter and I enjoyed a fantastic stay here. Great accommodation and service. Awesome views and close to bus stop for lift to snow fields. Never waited more than 5 mins for the bus. 5 min walk to centre of Thredbo. Would definately return.

The customer service was above and beyond! I am definitely coming back!!

All good except the location up the hill and stairs after a days skiing a real slog

Staff are amazing at Winterhaus Lodge, and great parking right above. Its a bit of a wak to the village, but you are right in Thredbo. Amazing breakfast!

Our room was just as advertised, our hosts were very gracious and welcoming.We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Managers Greg and Julie are the perfect hosts, made us feel welcome and completely at ease with teenage boys obsessed with mountain biking.
