Good place with reasonable price

I have been in many Marriott hotels, but this one was disappointingly under many aspects. First of all, at the check-in they pretend a deposit of 75 € that is mentioned nowhere between the house rules or the booking information, I have double checked what they indicate here in Expedia an also in the other booking platforms, and this detail is always omitted. Usually the hotels informs prior the arrival if a deposit is requested, its amount and the accepted methods of payment: is a clear lack of transparency from hotel management. Moreover, they said that it was unblocked at the check-out but bank has not confirmed yet, and I'm still waiting to have it back. Second: the room was booked for three people: 2 adults and a 4 years old kid, but evidently they didn't take care of this information and the assigned room was without enough sets of towels for all of us. The cleanliness was also another negative point.. since the arrival walking barefoot I felt that the moquette was full of dust and crumbs. They advertise themselves as luxury and near Ars Electronica Center, but they are honestly far from both things. But the the straw that breaks the camel's back has been the incorrect application of the city tax: they charged me 2,40 € per night for all of us, ignoring that guests aged 14 and under are exempt Linz city tax . Guests here are just cows to milk.

Excellent property and location. We stayed in the presidential suite as we had a small kid. The stay / amenities and the staff were outstanding.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit hilfsbereitem Personal.

Klassische Mariott Qualität, simpel/einfach gehalten aber funktionell. Hat jetzt keine enormen Extras, aber Preis&Qualität stimmen, da die Lage ausgezeichnet ist und das Personal wunderbar. Frühstück mit 26 € sehr hoch angesetzt - ob es das Geld wert ist kann ich nicht beurteilen, da mir der Preis zu hoch war. Garage gleich unter dem Hotel, sehr praktisch, 26 € am Tag.

Tuttu hotelli, erinomaiset sviitit ja henkilökunta. Ongelmana melkoinen etäisyys keskustaan melkoisen vaatimattomalta seudulta. Olisi mukava maksaa yöpymisestä muutama kymppi lisää ja saada käyttöön keskusta-shuttle

Nothing great - very far from centre, staff indifferent.

Did not have breakfast at the hotel. Staff very friendly but housekeeping need to improve. The room was very clean but staff did not report on defected items. Our shower head was extremely loose and could not be attached to its holder but no one from housekeeping reported it. We stayed for 3 nights.
