Excellent stay in hotel near the river. Short walk from train station and nice park nearby. Very comfortable room and good dining and bar facilities. Staff very friendly throughout.

Booked a king room, and was given two double beds. Asked why my reservation was not honored, and could not get a straight answer from the staff. Disappointing.

Convenient location, clean, comfortable, nice facilities…. Let down by the rude staff.

Hotel was within walkable distance of the town centre. Staff friendly and food good. Bed very comfortable. There is a sky bar but this is just a bar on the top floor with a view over the river. It has a limited selection of drinks - there is a greater selection of drinks in the bar attached to the restaurant downstairs. Although the spa and pool are open every day, the pool is closed to residents for classes at certain times. Also while we stayed there, our room was not serviced. Probably just an oversight. As we were only staying 2 nights, it didn’t matter but had I been staying longer it would have been a problem

It was on the whole very good with convenient restaurants, pool, spa. Breakfast is however vastly overpriced so we opted out which causes inconvenience in an otherwise restful stay. We opted for a riverview but you have to go over to the window to see it- wished I hadnt paid extra!

Van der Valk upgraded my standard room on day one without asking only to downgrade me and switch my rooms for day two after I came to complain about my room key not working because “I didn’t pay for an executive room for the second day”. This experience completely ruined my mood and the staff missed out on an opportunity to address my complaint in an adequate manner.

No shower gel in the bathroom. No water supplied (other than tap water). Room too warm. No AC.

Great location, nice room, evening meal disappointing, otherwise highly recommended.

Comfortable and clean room - we had a treble room which is basically a suite with whirlpool bath & kitchenette. Plenty of space in the room. As with most hotels wardrobe & storage space is limited for longer stays. We were there for a week. The restaurant and bar staff were exceptional even when the bar area was crowded. Reception staff were also helpful & quickly resolved a slight issue checking out. A nice location next to the river and park near by. Surprised to see rabbits roaming around the grounds. I would stay again.

Good quality hotel. Room very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast plentiful. Restaurant food good although not the cheapest. Parking convenient on site (payable)

Reliable experience like always

Excellent hotel, good rooms. Only weird thing is had to ask them to turn off loud corridor music which they quickly did. Spa was great except hot tub was cold. Sauna in good working order

it's modern, efficient and convenient.

Horrible. After showering there was a lot water in our room... it did not go away. When we complained they were not nice at all... the guy that claimed to be the hotel manager just apologized after 15 minutes and because we asked him too (and that is the worst!).. I travel about 80 nights a year and in whole my life I jave not been treated like this... not even close...

Clean, friendly staff with excellent cleaning staff.

Your first welcomed by reception staff, with a smile when enter the hotel. Enjoyed our 3day stay. The food was excellent and service too great team work. No faults only positive notes. Will return again.

It was a wonderful stay, even in the midst of a major storm. When the power went out, the staff quickly came to assist with getting the power back on. The location is quite central. The fitness center was comprehensive and had nice views onto the Meuse/Maas. The pool is not an Olympic-sized one, but great for relaxation and water fitness. A return visit is likely.
