I want to give a massive shoutout to all the incredible staff members! A special, extra big thank you goes to Maria and the fantastic bartender whose name I can’t recall right now—he was absolutely phenomenal! The customer service has been out of this world! Everyone here has truly been wonderful!

We loved staying at this resort! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. We also got upgraded because there were open rooms and it felt like we had the resort to ourself. So private and quiet with great views and service. Highly recommend this place!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. View from room and patio were amazing. A/C wouldn't cool the room, so we had to sleep with the windows open...Ocean breeze kept the room cool, but was a little like trying to sleep in a wind tunnel. Overall the hotel provides a great experience.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. It feels secluded, but you're only a short taxi ride into town where there is shopping and restaurants. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

Our stay at Azure del Mar was beyond AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We arrived in Belize City very late and then had a long drive into Placencia. Maria, one of the receptionist waited for us to arrive even though it was passed her working hours and asked the kitchen staff to prepare food for us to have for when we arrived. The entire staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our 6 night stay incredible. The resort has beautiful views. Its literally on the beach. We ate dinner and had drinks every night we were there and had the most amazing views with our food and drinks. Our suite was perfect for our family. It is in a safe location so much so that we felt comfortable letting our kids roam around the resort on their own even at night. Everything was always clean. My boyfriend and I had a couples massage out on the dock and even though it waa windy the staff made it happen and it was the most amazing massage I've had listening to waves and feeling the wind on us during our massages. I cannot say enough good this about this place. We were so sad to leave.

Azure is a special gem in Palencia. Outstanding staff and VERY well kept. The welcome drinks and floral/swan presentation helped make my wife’s bday even more special.

It was a lovely place for some rest and relaxation. Check in was excellent, room was a little dated but had character. Pool was kept clean and so was the beach. Nice to have cushions on the furniture.

The overall appearance of the hotel is beautiful and the staff were very welcoming. We were greeted with a welcome sign, and received a complimentary drink upon being taken to our cabana. The manager Valerie was wonderful and recommended a waterfall for us to visit that elevated our experience in Belize. There is a restaurant, bar, cafe, as well as kayaks, bikes and guest parking. One con was the distance- it’s a while away from where all the activities, restaurants and shop hubs are; about a 25-30 minute drive. Another issue we encountered were big bugs finding their way into in our cabana so if you have a fear of bugs like us that’s something to keep in mind.

The wether was really good! The hotel is very cosi and the people were very friendly.

Everything was perfect except that one of the shutters on the front would not close completely and made keeping cool a challenge.

As advertised! A small, family friendly resort style property. Cute cabanas (with AC) right on the beach, a cool refreshing pool beside the beach to rinse off the salt water. Sand is a soft slightly golden white. Water is shallow and sandy right off the beach, you can easily and safely walk out to play in the waves. The restaurant has long open hours serving a mix of local and North American style food. In March it is hot, 33C. But there was a constant onshore cooling breeze. That, and the whole property is well shaded with huge palm trees and bougainvillea trees. The restaurant is also open air right out onto the beach, well shaded, so always breezy and cool. Maria on the front desk is wonderful and can arrange a cab ($20US to town) snorkelling, river adventure, ruins trip, golf carts to rent. They have a couple of bikes with baskets. It is a short 5 minute bike ride to the local convenience store for beer, wine, liquor, fresh fruit and veg, beverages, sunscreen, etc. Watch for off season specials like rates that include breakfast. Also highly recommend a massage right on property.

We flew into BZE and drove to Placencia/Maya Beach. We were greeted at Azure Del Mar with a welcome drink and our names on the sign! What a greeting after a long travel day and drive! Dinner was lovely, we got some great recommendations from the staff, and work up to the beautiful peaceful ocean, breakfast, paddleboarding, oat milk lattes (hot or iced!). Although we had many day trips planned, we certainly would come back and simply stay at the property. Everything you need for a beach get a way with good food and coffee plus paddle boards and kayaks to use. Can’t wait to return!
