Fine stay but no breakfast facility in the hotel

Room was nice and the location is fabulous. However, the WiFi didn’t work and they hadn’t yet switched from heat to A/C, so we had to keep the windows open above the very noisy street. Also, there is NO convenient parking whatsoever. On balance, a pretty nice place but with big downsides.

From the reviews the hotel appeared to be a good choice for a few days, however when got there later in the evening, it was not open for business, all closed up. In fact it still appears on the website as a fine place to book while in reality is closed.

We spent three nights at this hotel and can thoroughly recommend it. The hotel is centrally located (almost opposite the Varna clock-tower), is a short bus ride from the station and the bus from the airport stops in front of the hotel. The room was quite spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a buffet with a comprehensive choice of food. The reception staff were helpful.

Great location but grumpy reception staff who bordered on rude. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel calls itself ‘Splendid’, but ‘Above Average’ would do for me.

Perfect location coming or going from airport. Rooms clean and nice. Breakfast could be better.

Loistava sijainti, talo on kaunis ja vanha, mutta kaipaisi remonttia. Kaupungin päänähtävyys näkyy ikkunasta :). Siistit ja tilavat huoneet kuitenkin ja aamupala ok. Varnassa ei ole kovin paljon nähtävää, joten kannattaa tehdä päivämatkoja esim. Nessebariin ja mahdollisesti yöpyä useammassa eri kaupungissa reissun aikana, sillä välimatkat esim. Albenaan ja Nessebariin on lyhyet, vain 1-2h paikallisliikenteellä.

Hotelli erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Rantalomaa haluavalle ei paras mahdollinen valinta, muuten kaupungille helppo kulkea kävellen. Respan henkilökunta ystävällinen ja plavelualtis, auttoi varaamaan retken. Lentokenttäbussin pysäkki hotellin edessä. Pääsi paikallisbussilla edullisesti ( 1lev). Yhden hengen huone tilava, siisti, tunnelmallinen,sisustus vanha ja rosoisuutta ja kuluneisuutta. Kylpyhuone siisti, kylpyamme. Aamiaisella paljon vehnästä, mutta myös hedelmiä tarjolla. Wi-Fi toimi ilman salasanaa, piti toimia vain yleisiissä tiloissa, mutta toimi myös huoneessa. Hyvät näköalat. Liikenteen äänet kuuluivat päiväaikaan, yöllä ei haitannut. Sisätiloissa äänieristys hyvä. Minibaari edullinen. Tallelokero vastaanotossa.

Very tired hotel need of upgrade from beds to furnishings. Cigarette smoke all through room, very unpleasant. Good location nice buffet breakfast.

Location is the primary asset of this hotel, across from the cathedral and city park. It is close to restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries, etc. My room was clean and the bathroom was nice. My one negative was the fact that my air conditioning did not work for my entire 3 day stay.
