Old-school summer resort hotel with modern renovations and comfort. Great property, great setting.

Overall a decent place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. That being said the wifi didn’t work in our room. We mentioned two days in a row and got nowhere until some new guests also mentioned they were having issue. So two of three nights without internet. Also they repeat bird noises throughout large speakers throughout the day and night. We were woken up several times each night due to the noise of the bird tape on replay. Would not stay there again due to this reason alone. 2am-4am is not a good time to pipe bird noises for any reason.

Gave us an upgrade when they realized it was our 50th anniversary.

The hotel is well maintained and there is a lot if things for all ages to do

Beautifully kept property with an array of fun activities. And St. Andrews by the Sea is the most charming town.

We had an excellent time! Great amenities, beautiful grounds, friendly staff and so much to do for families!

Check in was easy thanks to the early online option. We were never informed of the $25 plus tax resort fee at any point, so that was a disappointing surprise. Although the staff were friendly and helpful there were issues with body odour with some of the men. Although the addition of the dog by the check in desk was lovely, there were huge furballs rolling around the desk itself, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in days. The furnishings on our floor(4th) by the lift were covered in dust, not a great look for a higher end hotel. And the aircon in our room was so loud there would have been no way we could have left it on overnight.

Loved the property - very walkable to downtown and great shuttle service available to dinner etc. Staff were wonderful and spa was outstanding!

Everything nice!! Many kids, many doggies.

Another beautiful stay at Algonquin Resort. The vibe is so intense, outdoor, indoor seating, fire pits, water slide and pool for the kids. Plus the village is awesome to watch the tide going in and out.

We loved The Algonquin Resort! Picture perfect location, lots of activities on the hotel grounds. Staff extremely friendly. Appreciated the upgrade for our family to a suite and they also graciously gave us late check out so the kids could enjoy the pool longer! Highly recommend!

I was a lovelyspof to spend a special

We booked a double room, they didn’t have one so they gave us two singles, very nice but we discovered after dinner one room had not been cleaned. They had to come up at 9:40 pm with clean sheets and towels. Dinner in the restaurant was average. One fish was pretty good, the other was dry and tasteless. The staff were all very nice and tried hard to make things right, but for the price of rooms and food/drink here, they need a lot of improvement. Disappointed.

One of the best hotel that I have ever stayed at

We had electronically checked in the previous night. However, my wife attempted to get the key whole I parked the car. She was denied entry until i returned to the desk. What was the point of the electronic check in ? Very poor !
