This once beautiful property needs to be renovated and redecorated. Its situated on the Maitland river with trails close by and Blyth theater.

The staff were all great

Staff very nice, room clean, grounds lovely, dinner excellent. Facility tired and needs complete refurb. Very 1980s.

This is a beautiful property! So peaceful and serene. The staff was very nice at check in and restaurant staff were excellent as well. The food was superb. We had a very spacious room overlooking the River which was wonderful too. We will definitely book there again!

Peaceful location, nice room upgrades, free high speed wifi and parking, nice restaurant on property. Be mindful historic buildings spread out so no elevators in our building but likely some main floor rooms if this an issue Close to beaches and Goderich, shopping Staff all lovely to deal with.

We had a nicely appointed room with a balcony and a view of the Maitland River. The staff at the Inn and dining room were helpful and knowledgeable. Also the food we had at dinner was excellent!

Dinner was great the buildings are in need of power washing and paint. They were in the process of painting the pool building.

Perfect getaway for couples to get out of the city. Super cozy and friendly place . Has style, has class . We are coming back for sure ! Thanks for having us !

Amazing setting/location - i would say a gem of a location!!- very relaxing place -but the room we had was dated - with carpet having spots , couches not friendly for a conversation nor looking at the TV- seemed just not proper configuration of the space usage. The chair had a broken wood cross support! Overall and not the cleanest nor the most comfortable bedding or the room!!! I guess being near the wooded lot and along river - brings in a few bugs - somehow they managed to get in the room- even with the screen door closed. Anyway- we managed to get some great walks and viewed sunsets in the nearby Bayfield- quaint little town! Definatelyworrh a visit. We loved the few independent resturants in Goderich and the boardwalk . I strongly felt we could have gotten a better value! Will definately be in the area again- not sure of Ben Miller!

Breakfast was fantastic, personable wait staff with a gorgeous setting and view of the river.

Breakfast was the best part of this stay. Everything was made fresh. The property is orestine and exudes happiness with all the daffodils in bloom at the end of April. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stat here.

Enjoyable stay. Lovely location. Friendly staff. Dissapointed the restaurant was closed for dinner. Great breakfast though. Would return.

Sadly, the Ben Miller is outdated and really needing a makeover. Straight from the outset, the front lobby was shabby (with furniture that was seriously in need of a change), the dining area resembled something out of a lodge in the Poconos in the 60's/70's (certainly not fine dining) with ample evidence of roof leaks and the view to the river having debris quite visible. Our room, while clean, showed evidence of much wear and tear; what stuck in our minds was the rust visible on the ceiling from a water leak (or somesuch). The TV, was not functional and we discovered that it had been hooked up incorrectly. Very much on the plus side, was the kitchen- the chef cooked a leg of lamb and pork chop that was EXCELLENT, surpassing a recent meal that we had at a Michelin rated restaurant in the area in which we live. Our dinner dining waitstaff was very attentive and hugely recommended as was our check-in experience. Also, the price point was excellent; I was glad that we were not paying "full freight" for our stay. All in all, for a place to "crash" overnight at the price that we got on Expedia, it was good value for money. However, the building and the room that we were in really needs a makeover and investment.

Meals here delicious. Pool was refreshing. Spa was too hot for us. My facial at the spa excellent. Our room was quite nice. Staff was amazing!

Very nice and historic inn

Great place for a weekend stay. The food and area was lovely. We enjoyed a river view and a very relaxing stay. Christine at the Spa was wonderful and the massages were just what we needed. Would stay again! I’m sure it’s beautiful all year round

We stayed at Benmiller Inn & Spa for our anniversary, and it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The setting is so serene, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river—it felt like the perfect place to celebrate. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay feel even more special and relaxed. The food at the restaurant was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Dinner was definitely a highlight of our anniversary. Overall, such a lovely, romantic getaway. We left feeling rested, happy, and already talking about coming back.

Dinner was excellent and the staff was very nice and helpful. Pool and hot tub were about 5 minute walk . Change rooms were clean. Hot tub was hot but the pool though sparkling clean was way to cold for either of us to use

Excellent stay. The time of year was great for us and the hotel was not busy so the vacation was very relaxing. Food was excellent in the restaurant and all but one staff member were very pleasant and great to deal with Would go back again and would recommend to anyone
