good location and qiuet.

Nice hotel with clean room. Walkable distance from downtown, and near the supermarket so I can get any stuffs easily. The restaurant at hotel also serves with good food. Recommended for anyone who is about to visit Yellowknife.

Due to flight delay we were checked in around 1:30 am, and hotel told us we would need to switch rooms the next day because the floor we were staying on had a water leakage issue that required maintenance. However, by the afternoon of the following day, the hotel still had not taken the initiative to arrange the room change. We had to inquire ourselves, only to be told that they were still working on it. As a result, we wasted half a day waiting at the hotel, completely disrupting our planned daytime activities.

amazing location and the place

We booked 2x two-bedroom apartment suite for Jan 8–11 and paid both in advance. One suite is for my family and the other one is for my friend's family. But at check-in we were told the suite for my friend's family was no longer available, with no explanation and no apology. My friend was asked to take a smaller room which cost less than what we paid for and zero compensation was offered but the front desk people kept pushing us to speak to the manager the next day, which is unacceptable. After multiple attempts, the only compensation offered was breakfast for the last two days, which does not make up for not receiving the room we paid for. Very poor handling and disappointing service.

Room had an odd smell and the heat (being that it was -30) was possibly the reason is smelt bad.

Chateau Nova Yellowknife is located perfectly. 10 mins (driving) from the airport and 1 minute from downtown (3 mins walking). The property is large, clean, friendly and hospitable. The staff is excellent and so is the service. I shall recommend it always.
