We were welcomed by Julie and settled right in. Walked to dinner and ordered boxed breakfasts! Had a great sleep and had our breakfast for lunch! Amazing wrap, orange juice, banana and croissant! Excellent stay!!

Hosts are Very warm and welcoming and their rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need

The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with an assortment of coffees and teas. The breakfast was good and my wife really enjoyed the home-made yogurt. I enjoyed an omelette on a toasted bagel and a fresh baked croissant. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting Markdale or visiting the Down Home Farm restaurant for a farm-to-table experience.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Danby House while we hiked parts of the Bruce Trail. . Julia, the host was so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. The home had a station for all day coffee, a fridge and microwave, etc. Our room and bathroom were so cozy and relaxing. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

The property was easy to find and accessible. The room very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Everything was quite comfortable for our stay. They upgraded us the day before to a kig room and it came with a small kitchenette as well which was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and our host was very lovely. The property was very convenient to shops and eateries in Markdale. It is a 5 miniute walk to the main street. We did a little walk in the evening and the streets around the property are very quiet. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Betty & Hamilton

I stayed here for one night because the highway home was closed due to bad weather. 10/10 would stay here again. Very cozy place in a very grand old house. Julie was very welcoming and wanted to ensure my utmost comfort. Highly recommend!

Very welcoming and comfortable accommodations. Lots of amenities. Loved the coffee machine in the room. Because coffee. Coffee coffee. Sorry. Addicted. Back to the review: Julia is a wonderful hostess. Victorian style house is very beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the croissants.

Lovely people

Loved the century home with all of its unique qualities throughout. The beautiful high ceilings,the high baseboards and original wooden floors along with the original stained glass window in the stair well. The host was very polite and gracious. I would definitely stay here again just loved the home.

Comfortable and clean facility. Everything I required was in my room. I had to leave early for work each morning and was given a healthy breakfast plate the night before so that I didn't miss out.
