Location near Cook Street Village (600 meters), the beach (across the street), and Beacon Hill Park (across the other street) is fabulous. 10 minute drive to downtown Victoria's inner harbour. Every room is lovely, but Dorset is my favorite with its king size bed, ocean view balcony, and massive bathroom. Breakfasts are magnificent and served daily from 8:30-9:30. Homemade treats are available throughout the day and night, coffee, tea, water and soda are also available 24/7. Each room has its own fridge and coffee maker. Staff are very helpful. No daily housekeeping unless requested. We enjoyed the privacy and never needed it.
The staff were so welcoming and the thoughtfulness of the little pastries they provided was so sweet. The room was gorgeous but I will say the beds could've been better. They weren't super comfy but thats my only complaint.
This was our second stay at Dashwood Manor, and it was just as beautiful as last time! We love how quiet it is, and the location can not be beat! The breakfasts are simple but delicious. The views are amazing, whether it is clear or foggy. The walking path across the street is so easily accessible, and it is great to see all the dogs running and playing in the off-leash park. The walk through Beacon Hill Park to the inner harbor is a great way to start a days journey in the city. The small shops in Cook Street Village are handy to have so close to the Manor. A small walk to some great restaurants and coffee shops, filled with pleasant people and coffee, food, drinks and ice cream.
We will be back!
