DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton

This experience was completely unacceptable. We were traveling to Edmonton when we struck a moose on the highway. What followed was a genuine emergency—our son ended up in the hospital, and we were forced to completely change our plans. We immediately contacted the hotel, explained the situation, and the manager assured us that a refund would be issued due to the circumstances. Since then, the hotel has gone silent. Calls and messages have gone unanswered, and they are now refusing to honour the commitment that was made to us. A business is defined not by how it treats guests when everything goes smoothly, but by how it responds when families face a crisis. In our case, there was no compassion, no accountability, and no integrity in following through on what was promised. We were dealing with a hospitalized child and an unexpected emergency, yet the hotel chose to ignore us and disregard their word. Potential guests should be aware of how this property handles serious emergencies. Based on our experience, promises mean very little once they have your money. Beware.

Being convenient for dinner theatre

Very clean rooms and nice spacious room!

Horrible parking. Garage door smashed on my truck. Argued with the staff about the door closing for no where. Another person parked outside and truck was broke into. Place is clean. Wasn’t impressed with staff and won’t stay there again.

Loved it, always functions going on so the hotel has a bustling lobby, also loved the full course breakfast buffet

The front desk was great at check-in. He was courteous and helpful. Only negative during our stay was finding a rolled up sock (not ours) under a chair.

The mattresses were uncomfortable and the pillows were unreasonably lumpy and hard. Time to spring for some new ones. The room was spotless, but smelled a bit like cat litter and room freshener. The stay was fine, we were disappointed to miss the free breakfast - but that was our own fault with timing miscommunication.
