Wonderful room location amazing

Nice, clean and convenient hotel in downtown Montreal situated between the old city, Chinatown and UQAM. Great spot to walk from to many areas of downtown. Nice room with a balcony, kitchen and bedroom were great for my short stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great suite with a nice view. In-room washer dryer was very useful when traveling with a baby. Walkable to tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet experience was a real negative. Completely understaffed. Long waits for food, plates, utensils to be replenished. Really poorly managed and not up to standards.

Easy access to bus & train lines; walking distance to Old City. Area a little dirty and run down, addicts & panhandlers that are common near some Montreal train stations. Polite & professional staff. Good hot breakfast but busy/too few tables with weekday ending time of 9:30. Disappointed some hotel features were not available. Unlike other Homewood Suites that offer weekday manager's receptions, this location had only 1 night and there was no wine & beer because "we don't have a bar tender." The featured roof top bar & restaurant that we were anticipating seemed really nice, but it wasn't open. Seasonal perhaps, but there was no mention of that in the property overview. The restaurant attached to the hotel lacked the atmosphere we were hoping for, families with children eating pizza. We would have stayed in a hotel more central to bars & restaurants had I known our hotel bar wasn't open. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 5 pm, check-in is at 3. We waited about 30 minutes, for the inconvenience, our party of 4 was offered 2 bottles of water and a cookie. Our 8th floor room faced an expressway with 24-hour road noise that can be heard from inside. I'm used to city noise, but I could see how it might bother others. Pull the refrigerator out from the wall to open it, and make sure the washer/dryer cabinet is completely closed to use the bathroom door. Both are designed without adequate space. Otherwise, the suite was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished.

Pros: Property is new and clean, rooms are modern, located close to Chinatown/old port/notre dame/ la ronde, etc. quick check in and provided early check out. Cons: had to ask every single day for 6 days for extra towels and toilet paper. There was 6 of us in the suite and despite telling front staff (Oriana) that we need supplies daily, didn’t happen. Still had to call. Sheets only changed once in the 6 days so we had to ask for extra sheets for the sofa bed. Breakfast buffet is the same and quite stale by 9-10 am.

Quand nous sommes arrivés le lit pour les enfants n'était pas prêt (canapé lit), il n'y avait pas de drap sur le matelas et pas de couverture et d'oreillers de disponible dans la chambre obligé d'aller demandé à l'accueil. Pour le lit des parents le drap était trop court ou trop petit par rapport à la domension du matelas donc j'ai dormi sur le protège matelas - pas agréable du tout. Le lendemain matin, nous partons à la recherche de la piscine - pas ouverte. Sur le site internet c'est marqué en "saison" sans précision claire, et dans le courriel de confirmation les horaires d'ouverture sont indiquées mais non c'est fermé. Devant tous ces désagréments j'ai été à l'accueil et la personne ne semble pas sensible à mes remarques et ne cherche en rien à nous conserver comme client. Ne nous reviendrons plus dans cet hôtel.

The selling point is having a washer/dryer in the room. Extremely convenient when traveling and staying more than a few days.

Ok, great view from double balcony. Good breakfast. Walkable location near Vieux Montreal.

Overall it was good experience if you are planning to stay in middle of downtown

Excellent staff. Love the text communications to check in regarding the room, etc post-check in. Excellent location to access Old Montreal. Very clean. Loved having a patio and sliding door to let fresh air in. Bed very comfortable, room very quiet. Two concerns: breakfast items we had were very poor: egg omelets were likely not eggs but something artificial and had no taste and texture was flat; bite sized potatoes were cold; sausages tasted strange. So disappointed in breakfast. Second bit of feedback - bathtub water not quite hot enough for a truly good soaking bath. Also, a little more instruction on getting into the hotel via the parking garage, how to get to the hotel from the parking garage etc. a little more instruction would have been helpful. We were very happy about the security of the parking garage. Will consider staying again.

Nice, accommodating and friendly staff, and highly recommended for families! We had a good time

We were very pleased with our stay at Homewood Suites. This is our sixth trip and we tend to stay in the historic district but took a chance on our late March trip (5 days). The hotel had easy, convenient and secure parking, which at a charge was more then acceptable. Location was great, halfway between the Old city and our venue on St. Catherine. Breakfast, while busy was ample and had a great variety of offerings; especially with Vegan offerings. Our room was well appointed, clean and cleaned daily. The ability to have on-site laundry was a plus given the weather and activities. Front desk staff was visible, helpful and bi-lingual. While this lacked old world charm, the convenience and cleanliness more then made up for it. We would certainly stay here again given the many benefits. The one draw back was the ongoing construction in the China Town area, no fault of the Hotel in anyway and we do understand that Montreal has two seasons; winter and construction ;)

The hotel was lovely, the staff was amazing. The only issue was that after we got home, my girlfriend developed a rash that the doctors said was likely scabies. Not sure if it was from the bedding, but it wasnt from her hone or mine and it was the only place we'd stayed different than normal.

The balcony added extra space. The bedroom was divided from the living room which gave you extra privacy.

I would like to thank ORIANA at the frontdesk who has been so accomodating from start to finish. She has been so nice to me And my family. I really love hilton, their rooms and amenities. I dont mind paying extra especially if its comfort and cleanliness is at stake. Even when we got o alberta i always choose homewood coz i love its amenities. Most especially i really love the rooms i have booked here in montreal, walking distance to all the nice food, easy transpo, nice view, nice room, and most especially we have our own washer and dryer!!! Good for is especially we have been travelling. Thank you so much homewood and Oriana and her group. Not even an ounce did we feel unwelcomed. Thabk you
