The room was very clean and the soft linens smelled so fresh! There was shampoo and body wash, but missing conditioner. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy and not full. We appreciated the chocolate on our pillows and the ease of getting in and out of the room/hotel. The location was absolutely fantastic as we were right in the middle of Old Quebec with plenty of restaurants, shops galore and was walker friendly. Quite difficult to find parking, but we did succeed. Upon leaving our room this morning, I was dis-appointed with the amount of dirt trappings on the soles of my feet. It certainly could do with more frequent vacuuming! The size of the room and the bathroom were great, but the walls were rundown. They would look better with a fresh coat of paint. The damage deposit of $300 was a surprise and left us wondering if this was a scam, but a phone call to an agent mollified us. Overall, I loved our accom-modations and would stay again. 4/5 stars

I would definitely go back there again!

The room was very clean and in an incredible location. We could walk outside and be in the heart of Old Quebec. The two reasons I gave it a 3⭐️ is because of the parking fiasco (if the lot is full you're stuck looking for anything!) It took us 2.5 hours once we arrived to actually get parked somewhere and into our room. The second concern is the alley leading to our room. It was ... unexpected and initially, a bit terrifying. It was fine afterwards but it really needs to be disclosed a bit better for first-timers. I would stay here again but next time I'll fly in!

The property is well located but very run down. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, grimy old cheap shower, ceiling fan did not work, pillows filled with what seemed to be cotton balls and hardly any electrical outlets. It is also challenging to find available parking close by.

We did NOT like the location of the property. Down a back alley lined with garbage. Didn’t feel safe at all. Even though we were booked for 3 nights, we left after trying to get some assistance from Expedia. We were even willing to forfeit the one night cost and just have the other two nights refunded. Expedia did nothing to help. Will likely never use Expedia again. Do NOT rent this property!

An unattended facility. Nobody's there. No lobby, no receiption, Internet is not loading outside even with 5G. Difficult to get in touch with hotel. I selected this property because they claim they have parking. No such thing. Directions given by a guy who happened to be there working took me to an unexisting parking lot. Directions to another lot took me to an exit of it. It took me an hour and a half to find parking and get passcodes to hotel door and to my room. Not hot water in bathroom sink. The shower stall is in the room. Something I never saw before.

Not good for families with kids.

Fatal todo… En el 2024 estuvimos y fue maravillosa y esta ocasión estuvo FATAL, sucio, se escucha el ruido de las otras habitaciones, huele en humedad y además nunca me devolvieron los 300 dólares que solicitan como depósito. No es hotel, ni siquiera un Airbnb, porque ni recepción tienen, pésimo servicio. De verdad no se hospeden ahí, las indicaciones no son claras, no es la propiedad que indica, hay que caminar otra dirección, tienes que marcar para que te den indicaciones para acceder a la propiedad. Exceso de links. FATAL.

Room is little bit old, however, the location of the hotel is the best!!

Loved the location and kitchenette! Room was clean, but the faucet did not shut off in the wash room and a few broken tiles on the floor. Unfortunately, the AC was not working.

The location and price were excellent. The room was quite small but we expected that based on the provided photos. The staff were very responsive. Overall, it served as a great base from which to explore the Quebec old town.

Although the room was small, the bed and accommodation were very comfortable. The room could use some renovations in the washroom but the location can’t be beat!

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cavailer. The location couldn't be better - steps to the old city, walking distance to all the historic sites. Checkin/checkout were smooth and easy. The room was spacious, clean, with lots of character, a super strong air conditioner - perfect during a heat wave. The kitchenette is fully stocked with cook/tableware and cutlery, and includes an electric kettle, which was a huge win for us. Of the slight negatives, we found that some of the power outlets weren't working and the light switches were a bit wonky, so we had to take turns charging our phones. We also found that you can hear other guests coming and going up and down the stairs, which is expected from a historic building and did not bother us, but if you're a light sleeper, you may want to take that into consideration. Overall this was an excellent stay at a historic 19th-century property and we would be happy to come back.

You need better sheets and comfortable pillows..beside that all was great.
