The Kingston has all the things I love about travel. The building itself is really old. My room was a twin with a sink and a shower down the hall. It was clean, comfortable, and felt like a real place instead of a generic hotel room. It's owned by a local family and a lot of the staff is part of the family. It's the first place I've been where the overnight staff was super accommodating. If you need perfect linens, expensive soaps, and a high end bar, its not for you. If you want a quiet and comfortable space in the best location in Vancouver, it probably is.

I was surprised at the shared bathroom and size and age of the room, despite the cost. Twice as expensive as Toronto, LA, or even Houston.

We had a bad experience staying at this hotel. There was no toilet or bathroom in the room, no TV, the bed was too small for two people, and breakfast only had coffee and nothing else. The hotel had a terrible smell of old clothes and we were very dissatisfied. The price for the hotel is not low at all; they charged us $404 per night.

Lovely boutique hotel. Thoughtfulness resounds everywhere you look. Loads of old school touches from the fixtures, furniture, wall paper and architecture. Modern mattress for a great sleep. Good shower. Will come back.

A/C-Heat was good did not use parking. Staff was friendly and the room was cozy. Location was excellent for downtown a 10 minute walk to just about any where...food and tourists attractions. The price was an excellent deal as well.

Shared bathroom was not a problem but the room was very small and no tv. I guess you get what you pay for. I would get a larger room next time. Great location being two blocks from the Canada line train to YVR.
