sadly there was mold and mildew in the grout and caulking between tiles in the shower and also the ceiling penal was constantly making loud noise at midnight. Yes we fixed it (temporarily by using cloth hanger to poke it) but it made noise again after a while. So we barely slept the whole night.

I booked a two-night stay at Lord Elgin based on positive reviews, expecting a comfortable experience for myself and my family. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what was advertised.
There was extensive construction and renovation work throughout the property, which was never disclosed on your website or during booking. This created significant inconvenience—limited access with only one entrance, just two working elevators, and a cluttered, noisy lobby. The service was below expectations, and the overall environment was not conducive to relaxation.
I extended my stay hoping for a pleasant experience, but instead, we were forced to check out early due to the conditions. The only slight improvement came after paying extra to upgrade to a park-view room; without that, staying even one night would have been unbearable.

The room was perfect!!!
The pool is great!
But we were welcomed only in English (we are French Canadian) and it’s Ottawa, the capital of Canada . This city is supposed to be bilingual and this is a high quality hôtel, we expect bilingual staff at the réception. Not Even a « Bonjour ».
