Unique stay! - a building from 1800s that survived a huge fire! Definitely look into the history! - I found the location super convenient & I am a light sleeper and had no issues with noise. Skytrain station is right there and takes you from Surrey to downtown Vancouver easy. The waterfront is right there. Walking to restaurants, I would say this is a historic hidden gem! Definitely would stay again.

Simple place, not super fancy, but conveniently located, feels safe, great room with high ceilings, comfy bed, and nice people. Bonus was a cute little lounge and library bookshelf where you can borrow books.

I booked this room months ago. I show up and am told there is no hot water. They said I should have received notification about the problem from Expedia. When I returned to my car I checked my email and sure enough an email arrived just a short time ago. What bothered me most, a friend we were visiting said they haven’t had hot water for some time. It was not communicated to Expedia until the day of my check-in. I will say, they told me they will authorize a full refund and they did. That was nice of them.

I truly liked my stay at this hotel. The staff is wonderful, accommodating, and goes above and beyond to assist travelers. The hotel is quiet, and there are a lot of stores nearby, which is very convenient. The only complaint I might have is the proximity to the SkyTrain, which can disrupt sleep for some. Besides that, I would recommend this hotel to most people looking for a really nice, clean, and affordable place to stay/relax.

The rates are very affordable for Vancouver and we liked the location next to the waterfront and almost on top of a Skytrain station which made it super convenient to get downtown. But… it was a bit loud at night - the pub downstairs, the traffic, the boats horns, the cross walk sounds.
