The cleanliness of our room.
We have stayed here for years passing through Cranbrook, and although there are some signs of aging, every time, except for once, the rooms have been clean, which is always a priority for us. The owner/manager, I'm not sure who he is, is always very respectful, kind and courteous.

The whole motel has gone to pot. Nothing is taken care of. I will say the bed was comfortable and the room semi clean. The outside is in total disarray. Needs someone to go in there and bring it back to the state it was in before it changed hands.

Needs a facelift. The pictures show this motel has seen better days. Two stars because the bed was comfortable. Otherwise it really needed a deep clean (floor and bathroom). Trash around the property and the office and residence/patio above have broken windows and deteriorating wood. We paid too much for a run-down motel.

The room must have been cleaned very quickly. Surfaces were very dusty, the bathroom walls and baseboards looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The inside of the shower curtain had black specks on them that looked like it could have been mold. The towels didn’t smell clean and had a grey tinge to them, like they hadn’t been bleached.

This property had the bare minimum of standards. It was old, dingy and the safety lock on the door was broken. The only thing that felt clean was the sheets.

Have stayed here many times, and always because i want the "mom and pop" business uo thrive. There is a Tim's right across the street, and several full-service restaurants close to the Model-A.

While it's true that this property is old school and dated, with door keys and paper check in, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was in good working condition.
I would stay again if I need a decently priced, dog friendly place to stay in this city.

Had a good 8.2 rating that's why we stayed there. Guy at front desk was friendly and kind but as soon as we started using the stairs we should have turned back. Very dirty. Siding hasn't been cleaned in years and outside rugs and nearly most everything else is is need of being replaced.
