I booked to stay at the Modern Skyscaper Studio from the 15th to the 25th July 2019. I was extremely disappointed in the check in service and over quality of the accommodation. When I arrived I was unable to access the building as the provider GuestBNB did not respond to my emails or phone calls or text messages. I had to find temporary accommodation for 137 CAD for the night of the 15th as I could not access the keys. The next day after further calls and text messages and emails with no response, I was able to raise them on the Hotels.com where they passed the link at 3pm on the 16th to a KeyCafe app where I was directed to a local Quikmart which has KeyCafe where I accessed the keys. Why I couldnt I have this the previous day was never explained just a weak "sorry". The accommodation is in the ICE complex which is a poorly maintained building with hopless lifts. When I got to the room it had curtains which didnt close completely, virtually all the vertical blinds where destroyed. So no privacy at all and light beaming continuous night and day. The TV didnt work, as the remote control was either no batteries or just didnt work. I didnt bother ask them to help as I couldnt raise them to help before. Overall I would never get accommodation with GuestBnB again, or stay at the ICE apartments 14 York St. Steer clear
