Staff very helpful and courteous. Nice restaurant very convenient for breakfast. Good parking. Comfortable stroll to the lake. Easy walk to downtown Niagara-on-the-lake

The Oban Inn is a lovely hotel ideally located in the downtown area of off Niagara on the Lake. It is a short walk to the shops and dining options. The rooms are not large, but very cozy and clean. The dinning room has a wonderful ambiance. The breakfast is good, not cheap but competitive with similar hotels. The fitness centre is small but very adequate. We have only stayed in the cooler months so cannot comment on the pool. Being an older building the sound insulation is not the best with plumbing noises from adjacent rooms and some footstep noise from the rooms above. However, all was quiet for a good nights sleep.

Everything mentioned above. Plus more Allison changed our room to our specifications and she made it even more special. We loved everything about our room. A+.

Check in staff was cool… not especially welcoming. We had been recommended the hotel from friends who had previously stayed here. It was a little disappointing. We went to the bar after dinner ( dinner was off site) intending to have a nightcap but the gas fireplace was off and nothing seemed very inviting about the space so we just went to our room instead. At 8:40 pm in December the space could have been animated but sadly wasn’t.

Staff were pleasant and made our stay enjoyable.

We stayed at the Oban Inn for the first time, mid-week. The deluxe king room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did not eat at the restaurant as the prices were quite high and other local restaurants offered better value. Our only issue was the hotel was doing some renovations during our stay beside our room and so hammering at 9am without any notice wasn't appreciated.

Room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff was very accomadating. The only thing I would recommend is to have some music piped into the diningroom. Voices echo which makes having a private conversation difficult.

I booked The Oban Inn for a quick mini escape to celebrate my wife's birthday, and from check-in to check-out, we felt like an afterthought. The "Second-Class Citizen" Welcome The welcome was instantly off-putting. The front desk attendant's first response after I gave my name was to announce, "You booked under Expedia, so you don't get breakfast included." It doesn't matter that I wasn't expecting breakfast—it's the tone that matters. We were made to feel like second-class citizens before we even dropped our bags, which, by the way, we had to carry ourselves, as there were no luggage carts anywhere. Also, not a word of welcome! or happy birthday! Just weird as I had told them over phone and email why we were visiting. The 4:45 AM Wake-Up Call The room itself was nice (and clean), but that's where the praise ends. At 4:45 AM, we were treated to hours of loud noise from the room directly above us. When we complained upon check-out, the staff offered a supremely unhelpful, non-committal apology: "Sorry to hear that, it was not us, it must have been the room guest above." In other words, our problem, not theirs. The Bottom Line Booking: If you want to be treated like a paying guest, book directly through their website. Soundproofing: Be prepared for zero sound insulation. In previous visits to NOTL, we ate at the restaurant and it was very good. So, maybe just go for dinner and book your room somewhere that values all its guests equally.

No doubt the perfect place. A first class accommodation in a beautiful setting.
