Clean room and modern. A bit noisy from the highway being so close

Dont let the giant pothholes at the entryway scare you off, this rooms are very nice especially for the price. Awesome pier and ocean front view from the room, the first night i was there I spotted a pod of orcas at sunset from my deck. The room was clean and modern. The double head shower has the best water pressure ive experienced in a long time. The attached restarjant "Joes" was very good and fairly priced. I had a chicken burger and some of the best korean bbq flavored wings ive ever had. I would gladly stay there again.

Room was very nice and clean. We had the two bedrooms king bed suite. Nice to have a kitchenette. View was great across from the beach. Staff friendly and helpful. And central location.

great spot along the ocean! offered free late check out as we had a hockey game in the AM. Bring a firepit and set up in the front grass while the kids play mini hockey

The staff were great - friendly and helpful. Special kudos to Jay and Jeff at the front desk and the housekeeping staff that we spoke to. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, as well as the onsite EV charging. Our room had a nice balcony and great view of the ocean. Location is very convenient.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay… Spectacular view. Was raining most of the time so we were unable to enjoy the patio. Our room was very clean & comfortable. And the bathroom was state of the art. We would definitely stay there again.

Oceanside was lovely. The room was clean modern and spacious. Stunning views of the beach. Great restaurant next door and cute eclectic store up the road. Perfect location to explore Sechelt and Gibsons.

This is an old style motel that has been superbly renovated. It is very nice. The front desk person was VERY helpful and made our experience there great.

Staff are always nice and helpful. Building was reno’d a few years ago, but already feeling run down. Bathroom had black mold on ceiling of shower. Asked to be moved and staff was helpful. Unfortunately new room didn’t smell or feel clean. I used towels to sit on couch as it smelled like people had been living on it, and shower floor felt spongy underneather shower liner all around the drain. Property appears to need some time and money spent on fixing and needs upholstery cleaning. Great place just getting run down quickly.

We booked and fully paid for our 4 night stay in an Ocean View room over 4 months in advance. However, when we checked-in just 40 minutes after check-in start time we were told that rooms were allocated on a ‘first come first served basis’ and that the only room now available was a restaurant roof view room. We were told that we could move after one night, but this was time wasting, inconvenient and disruptive to our holiday. When 24 hours later, we eventually spoke to the manager he admitted that the room we were initially given was generally only sold to ‘walk-ins’ and then only when no other room was available and the room was always shown to the guest before they booked them in. When challenged the manager said that they did not guarantee an Ocean View room, although that is exactly what Hotels.com sold to us and is clearly stated on our confirmation. He added that as his contract was with Hotels.com, he could not compensate us financially unless Hotel.com contacted him directly to complain! His attitude was very much “well you’ve got an Ocean View room now, so what’s the problem!” He further advised that had we booked directly with the hotel, that he would have given us a partial refund for the first night. Having looked at reviews of this hotel, our experience is clearly not unique. This is very sharp practice and we will certainly never stay here again and would discourage others from doing so too!
