Some of the amenities were not available (ex - pool being repaired). That is the only downside. Everything else was wonderful and the view of the lake from the room was amazing!

Everything was great. Breakfast was amazing and the property is very well maintained.

Clean room, great breakfast and very tasty dinner in the windermere pub. Unfortunately the pool was not available, but overall good experience.

Breakfast was fantastic, staffs were amazing, our friends enjoyed hot tub and sauna. Everything was good except for the dust. As a person with dust allergy, the hallway and rooms are horrible. My sinus flared up and got sick. Also there’s no other restaurant nearby so you need to dine in the hotel.

The room was lovely & well appointed. Front desk staff were courteous. Wait staff in the pub is not experienced as the usual diners are contractors who are working on site. They would start a new conversation with us while walking towards us, at a 10’ distance. Experience & confidence will help. Pool Contractors were loud and used foul language within all conversations, unaware of anyone else at the pub. Breakfast was not what I expected, as cheese ham omelette was processed cheese slice & sandwich ham. Fresh fruit was good, orange juice was not available. Outdoor pool is under construction (ergo contractors). And, it’s April in Canada.

Great staff and lovely breakfast

We were very happy with everything about the room and the hotel area. The breakfast was amazing and had a lot of variety. The outdoor hot tub was lovely. The only minus was with the saunas, which were not hot enough. That's probably because the sensor was too high in the sauna, and the heating elements were partly exposed (not enough stones on the heater).

The room was spectacular very clean with a spacious mini fridge and large balcony. The breakfast buffet was tasty and our last day we even received an à la cart breakfast. The saunas and outdoor hot tub were lovely. Overall a 10/10 stay!

Great stay

Our room was overlooking the lake and we were met by no less than 20 deer on the front lawn after we checked in. The pub fare was excellent, and the room was immaculate. We didn't take advantage of any of the spa activities, but we enjoyed two days of relaxing bliss. Lovely property with a lot of nostalgic charm. We spent one full day hiking at Arrowhead Provincial Park which was a short drive away.

Absolutely perfect

The property is beautiful, very clean, and thoughtfully updated. There were considerate touchea throughout the experience, the food was excellent, and the amenities were superb.

The Room was spacious and comfortable, the space was renovated recently. Very kind people on service. Food at the Pub was really good.

After stumbling across Windermere while searching "last minute hotel deals" on New years Day 2026, we jumped on the much needed opportunity to sneak away for the night. And....we booked again 3 months later ❤️ Both times we booked the standard garden view King rooms and both times we were upgraded to Lakeview room 322 with balcony. I don't know why, but we are so grateful as the view is stunning. We watched snow falling over the lake, ice fisherman hauling in their catch, deer grazing on the Hotel property and surroundings, the gas fireplace with Muskoka chairs, and the hot tub/pool/sauna area. The room is spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Beds and pillows were perfect for us. Bathroom was a standard bathroom. It has a jetted tub, but the jets didn't work...no biggie as we spent much of our time in the hot tub to soak our tired bones. Tv, mini fridge, bottle water and Nespresso coffee machine were also included. Staff are pleasant, welcoming and very attentive from the welcome desk, property maintenance, food service and house keeping. Restaurants: we only ate at the breakfast buffet which was so nicely done. Many hot and cold choices from bacon, eggs, home fries to smoked salmon, chia pudding, fresh fruit, variety of breads, bagels, etc. Hot coffee and juices. The display was so nicely laid out. While using the hot tub, we were greeted by a herd of 9 deer who meandered around the property for a few hours. We tried th
