SHAOXING, an IHG Hotel

Do not stay at this hotel. The internal management is a complete mess. I booked a room but had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. When I called the front desk, they assured me that a refund would not be an issue. Following their advice, I contacted the booking platform, but it turned out that a different department handles such matters, and the front desk failed to coordinate with them. This ultimately resulted in my cancellation request not being processed in time. I tried reaching out to the hotel multiple times, and although they promised to call me back, they never did.

A good basic business hotel.

This is an older property but the maintenance and conditions are excellent. Staff is attentive.

The property is dated. Air conditioning does not work properly. Get it together Crowne Plaza. Stephen was helpful and accommodating. But I definitely would not stay here during the hotter months. Cigarette burns on the toilet seat and desks. Once again, property is dated and air conditioning does not work properly. Rooms need an all over facelift and upgrade. If you have to stay here, look for Stephen

This hotel is hands down the best hotel in shaoxing. The location is in the heart of the city and the decor is beautiful. The view was breathtaking and the amenities were awesome. The service was impeccable and couldn’t ask for a more pleasant stay.

I had another nice stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and all spoke English very well. If you are a coffee person the Starbucks is right across the street!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Club level staff were also very pleasant. What i was not too happy with was the selection of the food on the Club level in the evening, it would be very helpful is they would tell you the names of the dishes.

Excellent hotel close to everything.

We’ve had a very comfortable stay. Front desk clerks were courteous and accommodating. Mr. Lin and Mr. Han at the concierge desk were extremely helpful in providing useful tips and suggestions about our sightseeing options. Restaurants in the hotel are pretty good except the western style dinner buffet can use some help in terms of menu and preparation. Overall we highly recommend this hotel to all who wish to visit Shaoxing.

This Crown Plaza has no soul, this place is stepping back into the 80's. Staff don't speak a word of English, I guess it was build in the 80's. The club level I booked doesn't provide breakfast nor a descent dinner on the club level. Room was comfy with a breathtaking view.

Overall, this hotel is not up to the Crown Plaza Standards. My customer even asked to change hotels next time they stay in Shaoxing... See my booking and cancelation history for reference.

Good experience. Staff is great. Room service food is not so good

I book this hotel for my agent and 2 customers. Staff and restaurant personnel were oblivious to our presence in the hotel. Could not wait to move on. For the price of the hotel, the restaurant is well below standard and the food cold. The breakfast staff only want to have you leave.... took my plates and coffee before it was finished. This eliminates Crowne Plaza from my list of hotels to stay at...

It was good minus the ac same as last time. Overall the stay was good. Also no vegetarian food.

Ultra comfortable with a great sense of decor - the room was incredibly satisfying. The bed was comfortable, sheets soft, amenities present, strong WiFi signal, English-speaking staff and great extras (like the pool and gym). Right outside the front doors is easy-access to restaurants and shopping. Everyone was very friendly and ready to serve. The room was also very clean and the bathroom was ample (with amazing water pressure - love that!).

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT IN THIS HOTEL EXCEPT THE POOR AC AND POOR WIFI.

Overall Ok. I will give it a three star due to the following reasons even though the hotel is new and looks good: Service need to improve in Breakfast Area as it looks like lack of well trained Staff seems overwhelmed. Rooms Temperature control did not work during this Stay as they said it was shut off just to circulate air as Local guests seems to feel it is too cold for them. This is not a good idea for guests who likes it colder than their Local guests. Does not make sense as to Why you have a thermostat in room when it can be of no use?
