Location close to subway and shops. Can't use swimming pool without a cap. Front desk staff not helpful when room wasn't satisfactory. Also a problem with Expedia advertising a room not suitable for 4 people

Excellent stay everything went smooth only issue was language barrier...so clean and modern first class service

Easy to find when using subway system. Only way to travel in Shanghai. Breakfast selections were great for overseas travellers if you didn't want to eat dumplings and soup which were on the menu as well. Rooms spacious,clean and good value for money. Would stay again.

Overall a good stay, but few of the staff spoke English and it’s a little far from city center. Close to subway and a great food-court right next door makes it all worth it. Very clean and softer bed than most Chinese hotels!

Great location. Easy access to public transportation and many great restaurants - modern and traditional. The room is clean and comfortable, except it's a little cramped. The only issue we had was that the room was overheated and the room temperature could not be controlled by the thermostat in the room. The housekeeper was nice enough to suggest opening the windows. But the issue should be addressed by the hotel.

I’ve stayed twice now at the Grand Soluxe - this is a comfortable hotel situated conveniently in Pudong. The hotel is right next to Pudian Road metro station, so getting around isn’t a problem. It’s also only about a 10 minute taxi ride from the Maglev station, so getting to and from Pudong International Airport is easy. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable with helpful staff. The beds are very comfortable, I’ve slept well here on both stays. I’ve only used the restaurant for breakfast, it has a good selection of Chinese and Western food available. Great hotel for a business trip, its location also makes sightseeing a breeze! I’ll be staying again.

I stayed here for three nights and slept very well. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are clean and quiet plus the air conditioning helps to achieve perfect sleeping conditions. There's a great range to eat at breakfast and the staff is very helpful. I will certainly stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. One minor issue was that the beds were very very hard. This not due to poor quality beds, it's clearly a conscious choice of the hotel. The hotel mostly cater to middle aged Chinese, and they tend to prefer hard beds over soft beds. Another minor issue is that the breakfast seemed very overpriced, even for hotel standards.

Excellent location. 1min to line 6, 2min to line 4. Front desk is very friendly and efficiently. No air conditioner during my stay(11/4 ... 14/4) even though room temperature reached 29C was not acceptable!!!

I had a 24 hours layover in Shanghai and stayed over the Soluxe Hotel. The hotel is located only a block from the subway station, very convenient. From the airport, I took the MagLev to Long Yang Station, then took the subway (2 transfers) to the hotel. My only complaint (not the hotel's fault) is the subway transfer was not easy - long walk and fair amount of stairs. The hotel is very nice - modern, clean, and spacious. It deserves the 4.5 stars assigned in the hotels.com website. The price was very good, substantially better than other comparable hotels in Shanghai. The best part is that it comes with free buffet breakfast. The food quality and range of choices is 10 times better than any continental breakfast from a typical Best Western! The room was very comfortable. At 26th floor, I had a good view of the Shanghai Tower, WFC, and Pearl Tower. My only complaint (again not the hotel's fault!) is the air was smoggy, the the view was not very clear!
