Holiday Inn HANGZHOU XIAOSHAN, an IHG Hotel

Have stayed here for years. Now that will help put some of my ratings into perspective. Love the location of the hotel. Nearby restaurants are fantastic. Always thought the restaurant did a great job with morning breakfast but the offerings have slipped to be equal to your average 3 Star Chinese Hotel. Expats you see walking around all trying to find something they can or want to eat.

Good stay

The hotel is fine with spacious guest rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.It could do with a refurbishment ,but other than that I have nothing negative to say.

The hotel was not as expected, the check in process took a liitle long, not sure why when my reservation had already specified the "suite" I requested. After going upstairs to the rooms we were given I had to go back down because the room didn't have a bath tub which was one of the reasons I booked a suite. We were then given a room with a bathtub but it smelled weird, and unpaired. The plaster around the tub was peeling and the bathroom door wouldn't close unless you pushed and locked it. I think the entire room could do with a bit of updating. The one bright spot was the the bar, restaurant and breakfast buffet staff were very helpful and accomadating. For breakfast we had great service from Pankaj Bora. He was super helpful and very accomadating.

Hotel still maintains Holiday Inn standards if a little jaded around the edges. Service in all areas very acceptable. Lobby bar is great for the traveller offering excellent service and a good selection of bar food. Ideally located for local factories. Will stay again!

The location is good. The hotel is next to the mall and walking distant to metro. The only problem is the limited choice for foods at the hotel restaurant.

Got in after midnight. Plenty of staff to check in. Check out was easy, too. Great selection for breakfast.

The place was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were fast and smooth.

food is ok here not bad, less oil as compared to other places in china, cleanliness is not upto mark in the hotel

English is not their forte, they asked me if I wanted a good view and I was sent to the 21st floor, I thought about the great view,however,it was ugly due to the fact that I was looking at construction sites,and not only that but also noices due to work done.

The hotel exceeded my exception. Very clean, comfortable room, staff was extremely helpful. I highly recommend staying here on your visit to Hangzhou.

Good hotel, centrally located . Everything about it is simply practical.

Good but short stay. Unfortunately no international TV channels in room and the wifi wasn't working in the gym, the hotel has been notified.

Excellent staff service. Though they are more proficient in Mandarin than English. Very enthusiastic. Eg. the concierge arranged an airport transfer for us, he made sure that all are taken of before we left for airport. Not much to see around the area. Good to take the metro to West Lake for sightseeing.

The reason I selected this Hotel was my previous experience.However, in the last three years it looks they have worsen.My room, in spite of the fact I requested NO SMOKING got filtered smoke.The TV was not working,only Chinese channels, only after my third complain I got an explanation of what to do. THE INTERNET SERVICES WAS SO POOR THAT I CHANGED ROOMS. I thought it was going to solve the issue.As a result my MOTHERBOARD GOT FRIED.Was it the Hotel, the Censors of their system? Not even SKYPE worked!! NEVER AGAIN!! I am not going back to that place!!

Easy Book-in and check-out. Good breakfast, nice room. I extended my stay. But at a point it was difficult to find an English speaking staff.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff, especially Eason, was super friendly and was able to communicate clearly in both Mandarin and English. Staff was timely in meeting our requests for extra towels and ice, in addition to satisfying our request to have non-smoking rooms. Tip: If you're in a time crunch, there's a BreadTalk bakery attached right to the hotel with equally friendly staff.

I have stayed in this hotel multiple times past two years. The overall value is good. But it needs to be kept to good shape all the time.
