We liked the location, it is very close to the old town. We also liked the breakfast buffet and sitting at the bar looking out at the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The waiter at the bar, Will Wang, and his helper were great. We did not like our room. It felt dark and dated.

A very pleasant stay. Very impressed with staff, Justin who went the extra mile to ensure that we are back to hotel after a day trip in Shangri-la! Would come back to stay with my family .

Excellent location for families with young children adjacent to the Ancient Town with direct access gates. Nice pool and children’s indoor playground. Executive room can easily sleep four with no added extra bed - one on the couch and three in the bed.

We booked and was assigned a non-smoking room. However the bathroom area has VERY strong cigarette odor that permeates to the rest of the room it was giving me headache. We stayed in 3 hotels during our trip to the northern part of Yunnan. This was the most expensive establishment but the worse smelling one out of the 3.

Overall, this is a great hotel, a 5* experience. However, there is always room to grow. Power sockets in rooms are too old they can't handle adaptor. Staff in the restaurant can't tell difference between red and white wine glasses. When I was in the bar, I wanted to order in-room dining to the bar, but staff did not know there was such a possibility and could not assist me in that. I managed to order after all, but some training should be done. The breakfast selection was very good, although orange juice ran out too fast every day!

Fantastic hotel all round. Great location directly into the Old Town. Excellent facilities and the accommodation has really been well thought out. Rooms big and well equipped.

Hotel is the only 5 stars hotel right in the Old Ancient Town which was the key reason of us booking to stay there. Resort is beautiful with hotel room spread out in various building. Despite of paid for four rooms via Expedia to the hotel six months in advance in full, our rooms were spread out to different units. Our special request of staying close and non smoking room were completely ignored due to very poor arrangement by the reservation desk. It was a terrible experience to star our trip in Lijiang. Besides this , the hotel room and property is in par with five stars hotel.

The hotel building and the location were excellent! Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast variety was huge but average quality and refill was not fast enough. Service at breakfast restaurant was bad - interrogated at the entrance for your room number, nobody to help seat, very dirty table and floor. Concierge not helpful in providing restaurant recommendations.

The resort is beautiful, a mini old town in itself, and very conveniently located at the fringe of Lijiang old town. There is also a great view of the snow mountain from the hotel lobby. Facilities and furnishings are very good, and staff were very patient and helpful in assisting to plan our trip to the snow mountain. Highly recommended!

I booked to stay in this hotel by customers reviews in this app. Although the price to stay is on the higher side, but I think it's worth. The location is right in the center of the ancient town. However, this is a little crowded. If you don't mind the crowd. But if you are strictly for peace of mind, relaxing holiday than you better pick a hotel out of this location. The customer service in this hotel was great and food was good too.

It is very convenient to go to the Old Town City, but the service still need to improve.

Fantastic hotel with excellent service, amenities and ideal location. Architecture is stunning, old world with current amenities. Easy access to the Ancient City from the rear gate of the property. Christmas is a wonderful time to visit. They had a fun family friend Christmas dinner and party. Can't say enough great things about The InterContinental in Lijiang.
