Wonderful place with a wonderful owner. We were here in December and in that time of the year, be prepared to have warm clothes. As in every house around, you wear warm clothes inside as well. No central heating but AC in the rooms. The owner of the place is very helpful and everything can be solved thanks to a translation device/application, good mood and patience. It’s a bit remote so calculate with some taxi journeys to get around. Situated in the Luoguta neighbourhood, Xiejia Road. Also: December is low season: No queues at the popular tourist attractions, not crowded, dry weather. Most of the shops in the popular shopping street Xibu in Zhangjiajie are closed though.

The hotel had a fantastic view and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. It is a little bit of a walk from the entrance of the park (about 2km), but if you ask the staff, they will drive you there for free.

What a wonderful boutique hotel. Great location close to one of the park entrances. Hosts were friendly and helpful and know the area well and how best to plan the days you have. They help with transportation to and from park gate as well as train/airplane I believe. We had some issue with the rooms booked on hotels.com and what information they received they were gracious and gave us an upgrade for our second night but we did not all have rooms with a view the first night. A note directly to them with which rooms you booked is not a bad idea. DEFINITELY book a room with a view or balcony. The view is fabulous. Their restaurant makes really good food at a good price. We ate there both nights. Breakfast is also included (although it does not say this on hotels.com) Chinese breakfast with mantou and noodles, rice etc. Definitely would go back here.
