My room was very cozy and super clean. I have traveled around Asia recently and stayed in a number of budget hotels and this hotel was one of the best. Clean and modern. I took a room without a window (to save money) and I just ran my air conditioner every once in awhile - it worked perfectly. There is a very nice and large lounge area, as well, so you can go there if you want to with your laptop and do work. It was very easy for me to get to this hotel from Shanghai Station - I walked. There is always someone at the front desk and you can buy water and various things down there. I was really happy with this room and grateful I was able to book here so inexpensively to enjoy 6 days in Shanghai. I think some others who left reviews were a bit too negative - I tend to be a positive person and I found nothing wrong here. :)

It was pleasant and hassle free. I like the shower. The bed is not very comfortable. That's the only negative thing.

Room is very small and no walking space. Toilet is translucent and has no lock. Surrounding of the hotel is abit smelly.

Very disappointed to booked this hotel is actually a hostel extreme poor service from the recepction lady unhelpful. 2) This property located at adeserted place most comment very few people travel there especially during the night is so quiet and dark not suitable for lady Moreover all the room had not ventilation which destriy our health. I couldn't sleep well noise coming from all direction next room and opppsite talking whole night. Is worst the workers dorm. Look elsewhere to stay Shanghai had plenty of budget olace to stay.

I recommend this hotel to everyone who need comfortable place and cheap price. A receptionist is so kind and good services. The room and toilet is so clean and smell so good. I love this hotel and i will back again.

This place is not actually a hotel, more like a studio rental and not very big, I stayed with other 2 friends and no much space to walk around or leave your luggage. No amenities except for water, no elevator so if you're in a high floor prepare to carry all the bags and climb stares. The location is not much convenient as the train station takes 20-30 min walk in a lonely and dark neighborhood and is nothing but construction stores around.

People working at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean enough. The cleanliness of the kitchen in the shared room could be improved, but it was not bad at all. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Super nice staff, generally close to the main train station (15 min walk if you know where you're going). Small rooms but certainly enough area to get by as a couple.

Good reception

The local area is dodgy and feels very unsafe.Its not close to anything, and is at least an hour from anything, with an almost 1km walk to the train station. The staff only just speak English, using a translator most of the time. Oh and they have a nice scam where they charge you 5 Y for a towel, if you leave in the bathroom they’ll take it and try to charge you more money for a new one. The rooms are small, they’ve crammed 4 beds into a space that is suitable for only 2 beds, so there was no room for luggage. I would not recommed staying here at all. Everything advertised on the site was utter lies. The beds are hard as a rock and the pillow wasn’t really a pillow- just a piece of foam. Very uncomfortable place to stay in a very unsafe area. The electricity turns off without the key in the door. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Overall a good place to stay if you are traveling on your own or as a couple. The staff at the service desk are very helpful and if you require English they are able to communicate very well. They are also friendly and make the check in and out process swift and easy. The room we stayed in was everything we expected and for the price we paid was well worth it, especially in shanghai. The hotel is in good proximity to shanghai railway station and Joy city (large shopping center). The hotel had a hostel vibe as some guests tend to hang out in the living area on laptops or at night having a few beers, however it was not loud or like a party going on. One night someone had a loud conversation on the phone outside my door at 2AM, thankfully after asking them to keep it down they moved on. Overall I would stay at this hotel again for the value and friendliness of the staff.

Everything is great!!!

The room was small but had everything we needed. It's a bit far from the station but the toss up with the price makes it worth it. Plus it's nice to have a walk and see the real Shanghai on the way too. The staff were all really nice and they had free water, fridge and a microwave so you can cook your own meals too. Overall excellent value.

it suited my budget and was fairly close to the metro system. my room was very quiet as no windows. bedroom was comfortable and clean
