Fab hotel would stay again ideal location

Location was very very good. So convenient to shops and food. room was nice and clean

We had a suite with a balcony. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom had a deep tub and a Japanese toilet which we always love in hotels. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Bund and the streets often have murals which is interesting and pretty. Breakfast had a choice of local and western foods. The metro is literally across the road and we used it to go everywhere. People Square is a 5 minute walk. It was always busy with lots of people with laminates (I learnt from our reception that it was grandparents with details about their grandchildren- rather like real life Tinder!!) Theres a big Mall at the end of the road by the Metro station.

Great accommodation

Good location for shopping and eating and visiting the bund. Staff are helpful too. Only problem is some rooms only have a deep soaking bathtub and a rain shower above. Not convenient for the elderly or those who prefer to use a shower head.

The staff of the hotel are welcoming, helpful, informative and attentive. Few minutes walking distance to the train station and few convenience stores around the hotel. A lot of local small eateries surrounding the hotel. Conveniently located in between Shimao Shopping Center and Raffles City Shopping Center. The hotel rooms still need a bit refurbishing as it is dated, however it is still acceptable as they are clean, useable and spacious.

Large room with super huge bathroom. However, water pressure in shower was weak. When bathtub is being filled up (which takes ages), the shower cannot be used cos no water. Room too dimly lit. Beds felt worn. The room was very quiet. Superb location, just next to Nanjing pedestrian street. Plenty of dining options and cafes around. Hotel breakfast was in a cosy room. Whilst food selection is limited, the quality is good. Bfast also serve local noodles which is really delicious. Staff very attentive and helpful. They were friendly to chat and offer tips on where to go. Overall, excellent stay.

The hotel is located at a very convenient location, metro is just across the street, Nanjing east walking street just a short 5 mins walk and raffles city shopping also just across the street. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only thing is the hotel is a tad old. Overall a great experience!

Very good hotel close to Nanjing Road for shopping in a good area. There is a mall with a foodcourt across the road and a fantastic Cantonese restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel (not part of the hotel). Many local restaurants to try out with all the types of food you can think of. Fantastic location. We liked being close to Nanjing road, but not IN it. The hotel is directly opposite People's Square metro station. Line 2 from this station goes directly to both Shanghai airports and also the High Speed railway station at Hongqiao. Very easy to get to if using public transport or if planning day trips to neighbouring cities. The only thing is that the aircon does not work very well. The staff put an extra freestanding fan in our room for comfort, but we wish the aircon just worked properly. Hotels in this price range should not have an aircon problem. The amenities were very nice and the bathroom fantastic, with a huge bathtub and large separate shower. Overall the room was large and we enjoyed having a little balcony. Breakfast is average - only had it once. Thank you again to the staff for hosting us. We had a great time here. Thank you to the doormen who were always very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Nice boutique hotel in great location. Ray the concierge was fantastic, very helpful and friendly with good English. Excellent breakfast. Our room was very nice but the aircon wouldn’t drop below 22.5 which was a bit hot for a comfortable sleep in the heat of the summer and the water leaked from the shower into the toilet area making the floor very slippery.

Great location in Shanghai for business or pleasure.

My son saw a big cockroach in the toilet at the lobby. No assistance provided for carrying luggage into the room despite being a five star hotel. The welcome drink and dessert was mediocre - turned out to be juice made from syrup and two types of cakes which tasted full of artificial flavouring. Staff at the breakfast venue provided great service although the food selection was limited.

This is a great hotel. The bed was amazing. The only problem was that some of the exercise equipment didn’t work. We’ll stay there again.

Absolutely excellent hotel, easily the best I’ve stayed within Eastern Asia. Staff at door and front desk were lovely and accommodating, even receiving a free upgrade for our stay. Front door man was always willing to order our taxis and have a morning chat. Cleaners did an excellent job. Room was lovely, free mini bar highly appreciated. Is in excellent walking distance to every major attraction, masses of shopping and restaurants within a short distance. Location was always bustling, as most of Shanghai is, but you couldn’t hear any noise from the rooms. Everything about the hotel was ideal, however the excellent location comes out on top! You are really in the heart of the city and we frequently walked a maximum 30 mins to all our daily activities. We stayed for nearly 2 weeks and didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend and would absolutely return again if in Shanghai.

Beautiful hotel. Perfect location, close to happening street, shopping, food and metro. Ambience in hotel is very nice.
