The hotel was excellent. They were helpful in all areas. Room had excellent view to the ocean. Dining at the hotel had great views too! Overall excellent hotel.

Updated hotel near old city. Quiet side of town right on the beach.

Amazing location -10 mins walk to the old town. Really helpful staff. Breakfast was great except some guests took up sea view windows and sat there on video calls on lap tops… nothing the staff can do I guess, but maybe any future guests reading this may take note… other guests don’t want to hear you on a video call discussing your stock investments every day over breakfast!! Will be back!

This was our 3rd stay at the luxurious Hotel Excelsior and our number one preference for Dubrovnik. Everything about this hotel is absolutely amazing from the views to the facilities and most of all the staff and service provided. I can’t wait for our next visit to Croatia.

Great location! This hotel has an amazing view and great breakfast. We were sad one of the restaurants by the sea was not open due to weather but overall great hotel. Wonderful and relaxing indoor pool and saunas! Totally enjoyed our stay.

People who work here are very kind. We felt very special on our anniversary. It was such a great expeirence stying here

There are absolutely NO negatives. The hotel was beautiful, the room was excellent, the staff was perfect, the food delicious, the view breathtaking, walkable to Old Town in under 10 minutes, the area was so safe. So happy to have been a guest there. The staff made the start of vacation perfect.

The hotel is very well located, a very pretty 10 minute walk to the old town. The view is perfect. The museum of modern art is in the doorstep as is Banje Beach The staff are wonderful. They were helpful, friendly, and resolved little niggles with efficient, perfect customer service. Breakfast was excellent, both the hot food to order and the buffet. The variety and quality was appreciated. We only had one evening meal at the hotel. The food was very good and the wine was amazing, but, even for Dubrovnik, the price was high. Some of the Michelin recommended restaurants in town offer better value. Our first allocated room was not properly cleaned (sand all across the floor) and had a heating fault, but this was dealt with promptly and efficiently, which we were more than happy with. Spa facilities are well kept and beautiful, but the water in the hot tub and side pool with massage jets are really too cold for me to enjoy properly. The treatments were among the best I have ever experienced though. The outdoor areas by the sea have suffered significant storm damage, but I have no way of knowing how long ago. At the time of review, there were no hand rails to the sea entry or outdoor tidal pool, and the surfaces were very slippery with algae. Overall, one of the nicest hotel breaks we have had. The hotel is one of the best 5 star hotels we have ever stayed at. But given that, there were just a couple of niggles with the building and grounds.

Great location and well maintained.

The staff was top notch! The room upgrade gave us the best view of Dubrovnik and it was only a 5 minute walk into Old Town. There were many food options at the hotel which made it very convenient. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Great place to stay right outside the Old Town. 10 minute walk.
