It was the best

Hotel Pansion Waldinger was very central to shopping walking. It was clean, staff where very helpful. The food was excellent in the restaurant. I would stay there again. It's very affordable.

ホテル自体はとても良かったが、ペンションに泊まったせいか、複数の男性が真夜中や早朝にろうかで大声で騒いだので、起きてしまった。 料金が安いと客層も悪くなることを感じた。

Second stay at the Pansion Waldinger and it wasn't as good as the first. For the same price my room was half the size and lacked the kitchenette of my first stay. Over the Easter weekend this caused me issues as everywhere to eat was closed and I was unable to prepare my own meals. I suffered an ant outbreak in my bathroom on day 2 of a 10 day stay but i had to request a room change on day 5 when they were still coming into my room. Literally hundreds/thousands. The reception staff did not offer either apology or mitigation. However, the housekeepers were a different story. Despite speaking little English they were full of apologies and kitted me out with cleaning tools and chemicals. (Marina is worthy of a special mention). The rooms are always kept very clean but maintenance could do with visiting a bit more often. The sink tap was loose in it's fitting and the handle on the bathroom door had worked loose. The restaurant is renowned for it's quality but the service matches the quality of the food. Overall my criticisms are minor and I love the Pansion Waldinger which is a nice mix of quality and affordability and has a great location in the centre of Osijek. Note: My first stay was January 2023 and my second in April 2023 and both visits had roadworks to re-lay tram tracks directly outside the hotel. This is not the fault of the hotel and noise is minimal but during my wanderings i found much of the Osijek area having road surfaves and pavements/cycle paths relaid.

Pleasent pension for a trip to the interesting city of Osijek. With a rich cultural heritage, albeit also in some ways a very dark and disturbing heritage, the city is a nice riverside place to visit, do sight seeing, learn about the culture and spend some time enjoying the Slavonian hospitality.
