Crowne Plaza LIMASSOL, an IHG Hotel

I booked a twin room for 2 persons and only 1 bottle of complimentary water was given. I requested for 1 more bottle but the staffs said the rules did not allow. The room rate is more expensive for 2 persons per room than for 1 person per room, so it did not make sense. A bottle of water does not cost much compared to the room rate they charged. The other bad impression the hotel left is the rude staff who gave out towels at the swimming pools. I went to the pool in the early morning on the day of checking out. The staff could not find my room number on a piece of paper on which a list of room number was hand written, the staff gave me a contemptuous look and handed me a yellow towel reluctantly as if he let me sneaked in illegally. He instructed me to dump the towel in the bin in front of him after use. When I entered the pool area I saw everyone else received a towel with brown & beige stripes. I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and on the first 2 days I went out for sightseeing and did not have time to swim in the hotel. I have rightful use of the pool before check out time. I do not deserve this discriminating treatment.

Location, service and spa are great. Would always come back. During checkout receptionist requested an additional tip payment on the credit card machine, despite a tip already being added to the bills at their restaurant/cafe. Odd.

Balcony sea view was amazing

Wir hatten zwei Doppelbettzimmer gebucht. Für zwei Erwachsene ist jedoch ein Bett etwas zu klein, das sollte bei der Buchung berücksichtigt werden. Die Matratzen waren zudem sehr hart und dadurch nicht besonders bequem. Das Badezimmer ist bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen. Das Frühstück war gut, mit einer ordentlichen Auswahl und frischen Produkten. Insgesamt hätten wir für den Preis jedoch etwas mehr erwartet. Es war okay!

Stayed to celebrate my birthday. The hotel went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion with a beautiful birthday cake and extra drinks. So very kind and thoughtful. All staff were very pleasant and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Couldn’t fault the hotel. Met my expectations and more. Would definitely recommend Crowne Plaza hotels to family , friends and associates. Thank you .

Pro: Wunderschöne Zimmer mit großem Balkon und direktem Meerblick – traumhaft zum Aufwachen. Großer Außenpool und beheizter Indoorpool, ideal zum Entspannen bei jedem Wetter. Mehrere Restaurants mit großer Auswahl, besonders das Sushi war ausgezeichnet (wenn auch etwas teuer). Gutes WLAN im gesamten Hotel, schöner SPA-Bereich und kostenlose Parkplätze mit Valet-Service. Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich – besonders unsere herzliche Housekeeping-Dame, die großartige Arbeit geleistet hat. Contra: Die Strandliegen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, oft gestapelt und mit Ketten abgesperrt, ohne Personal in Sichtweite. Man musste sie selbst herrichten, und die Tische bei den Sonnenschirmen waren teils verschmutzt. Die Sauberkeit des Strandes ließ zu wünschen übrig – viel Plastik und zahlreiche Zigarettenstummel; Aschenbecher würden hier sicher helfen. Vermutlich gäbe es welche, wenn die Beachbar geöffnet wäre. Aufgrund einer Baustelle war sie geschlossen, weshalb es keinen Getränkeservice am Strand gab. Gegen 17 Uhr wird man zudem gebeten, die Liegen zu verlassen. Der Bierpreis von 7,50 € für 0,5 L ist überzogen, an der Poolbar wurden sogar nur 0,4 L-Becher serviert – wir sind dann auf Wein umgestiegen.

Udemærket morgenmad, og der er en lille lækker strand, hvor man som gæst på hotellet, har frie strandstole, og parasol. Vi havde en super ferie, med vandre ture rundt i byen, og endte som regel ved havnen, til et godt måltid mad. Absolut et lækkert sted.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. The A/C worked well, and the bed was comfortable.

In the past few years, I stayed at the hotel multiple times. The prices have raised by 300% during that time period and very little has been done in renovating both the rooms and the exterior layout of the hotel if I used to recommend it to others, I will no longer do so. I have to say that one or two person from the staff at The Reception are very nice and attentive. To summarize, value for money is no longer appreciated in this hotel.

There was never parking onsite and we had to constantly park across the road which was a bit of a pain. It was also a struggle to dry our pool clothes as we had no balcony. Other than that, all good!

The property requires updates, and certain areas need more attention to safety and cleanliness. For instance, the spa entrance and the ramp leading to the pool can be slippery and pose a risk of falls. It’s important that these areas are consistently cleaned to prevent accidents. Additionally, the carpets in the hallways have a musty odor, which is unpleasant. While some staff members are exceptionally friendly and helpful, others seem more focused on financial matters than guest experience. Front desk staff, in particular, could be more welcoming; greetings like “good morning” or “good evening” were often overlooked. Many of the team members appear to be still in training, and resolving issues can be challenging without suggesting solutions yourself. This made the check-in process more stressful than expected. Very defensive way to treat travelers.

We stayed here only for the balcony – if you stay here i would really recommend the balcony rooms. Overall the Hotel was good but felt a few years away from the ”glory days”. This is the last hotel on the beach side of the main street before the marina – a few kilometers down the road. Staff was excellent! 😊
