We loved our stay and we’ll be back.
Heads up STAIRS to get it! But staff will help you with your bags.
My partner and I really enjoyed the café connected to the lobby — great Wi-Fi, convenient service, and beautiful, healthy breakfast options. As New Yorkers/Americans, strong Wi-Fi and good service are priorities, and this place actually delivers (not always guaranteed in the DR).
We felt very taken care of by the front desk staff and the housekeeping team — friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. Speak Spanish (or have your translator ready) — it makes everything easier.
This hotel is a DEAL. Yes, it’s an older building in a historic area, but what you get in return is huge: fresh breakfast included daily, personalized service, and a space that feels comfortable and cared for. The team clearly works hard to keep it looking fresh and accessible while still honoring the Colonial Zone character.
The location is super walkable, with plenty of nearby food options — including a 24-hour café on the block (the wait can be long, but it’s still a fun late-night/afternoon experience).
We also felt perfectly safe. The bell-entry system might surprise some people, but there’s a 24-hour front desk and we always felt secure. Overall: great value, great Wi-Fi, and an excellent home base for exploring.

1. This property DOESN'T HAVE ANY PARKING! Please, don't mislead potential guests- no designates parking. By the streets is very unsafe and inconvenience. You may or may not find place around. Most streets are one way, parked with cars and small bikes.
Priceless help from Hotel's employee- William. He helped to drive to private, safe parking for night. Also he was very professional and friendly, Mucha Gracias!

We enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was great, rooms were clean, and the manager/staff were very accommodating. If you are renting a car, the parking situation can be a little tricky finding a spot nearby on the side of the road. Although I had no issues, if you’re a Gringo like I am, I wouldn’t recommended walking around here too much at night. However, per usual, the local Dominicans were very nice and helpful! I would stay at this property again if I go back to Santo Domingo.

Is on 3rd floor with no elevators. If you have havy luggage dont go. If you rent a car don't go there with the car. Is not place to park and the street is not parking space. Is unsafe place.

Just spent 1 night and everything was great. Very friendly staff and very clean room. The breakfast was delicious. Location was very good to visit the zona colonial. Very good value. Would definitely return if visiting Santo Domingo.
