Amazing views, beautiful grounds, classic architecture. This is an older hotel, very large with many features no longer in use - multiple restaurants, roman style theatre, and watersports services. But what remains are hauntingly beautiful grounds, fabulous multilevel pool overlooking the bay which is in very nice condition and extremely clean. Situated all around the pools are areas to lounge and enjoy the views. Access to sosua beach is steps away - but many stairs down. There is at least one working elevator to beach level. We enjoyed an average sized room with a balcony boasting incredible views of the bay and the beach a comfortable king size bed, free wifi in room and lobby - which is classically beautiful, with soaring ceilings , lots of comfortable furniture , and a marvelous breeze. We also enjoyed cable TV, mini fridge and microwave.
This is a European style hotel, for those that appreciate classic beauty, attentive staff and good food on the dining room. If you are looking for bright and shiney all inclusive- not it. But I've never stayed in a more beautiful place for the money - yes, it needs love but we found it to be clean, charming, with a wonderful pool, excellent proximity to downtown Sosua shops and dining, and of course the beach. Beware the many levels and stairs, and enjoy the view and the price.
Hotel was good value for the money. There’s a great view of SOSUA beach from every room of the Victorian House. I had 9 friends stay on all the different levels and all their views were fantastic. The pool area is fantastic with more great ocean views. There is a bartender serving cold drinks. They have a restaurant that’s on the top level. The rooms are ok / the bed is a little hard but not totally uncomfortable. Every room has a mini fridge. I will definitely stay here again for $42.00 a night . Well worth the value.
I liked the fact that the property is sitting on the beach with direct access, it is minutes away from everything, including the bank, supermarket, grocery, casino and restaurants..
