The stay was bad. First of all nobody checked us in, as soon as we arrived they sent us to our room. Nothing was explained regarding hotel policies so next morning when we were ready to check out a very rude lady in the front desk told us that only cash was accepted as the payment method and that this was supposed to be explained during the check-in (never happened) the service was bad they have no idea how to treat a customer. they even told that for the price we are paying we shouldn’t be complaining. Again the service was horrible u don’t recommend this place at all!!!

We thought this hotel was very charming and comfortable. It had a great deal of character, and the staff was very kind and helpful. It was easy to walk around the city from this location or get a taxi. As we were leaving, there were no empty taxis any where and we needed to be at the bus station; two staff members came outside to help us flag down an empty taxi to get us off on time. The breakfast was tasty; the only thing was that people seemed to eat quite early and by 8:30 when we got there, the fruit and many items were not very plentiful. Aside from that, we loved our stay.

A good bargain but the beds left much to be desired staff friendly but TV only in Spanish

Very nice hotel with a great free hot breakfast. Friendly staff and a great restaurant attached. Floors squeak but other than that I had a very good experience here.

The staff were extremely helpful and the hostal is in a great location (walking distance to the central park, but far enough to be quiet). The floors are a little creaky (as with all old, beautiful buildings in Cuenca) so maybe bring some ear plugs.

Good 3 night stay. Although room is small and TV didn't work, everything else is decent and adequate. Would recommend to anyone looking for this level of lodging.

Muy buena atención del personal. Algo ruidoso el sector delantero (antiguo) por el restaurante nocturno y por algunos pasajeros que no respetan el descanzo de los demás. El desayuno es bueno pero no con autoservice (ex café, te y yogurt) La zona de noche es un poco solitaria para llegar caminando (a veces hay un guardia en la puerta del restaurante). Recomendable

Sehr schönes City-Hostal in authentischem Gebäude. Super Lage und freundliches Personal. Hatten Zimmer mit Fenster zum Patio, was aber nicht gestört hat. Frühstück okay.

This hostel is a gem! Very helpful staff, beautiful decor, excellent location. Totally safe and within walking distance of market, restaurants, and river. A delightful first experience in Cuenca.
