The hotel was very nice (I stayed in the new hotel)-modern, rooms have nice balconies, etc. The staff was amazing…reception, restaurants, golf cart and boat drivers, etc. I highly recommend.

This is a great five star hotel in Aswan. Prices are salty but as everyone says: you get what you paid for!
Location was great, on Elephantine island. They provide free boat every 15 minutes.
Lobby is huge and very well decorated, a real charm.
Room was comfortable and spacious, with a nice view over the pool and the Nile! You can watch the sunset from your balcony. Bathroom was good size and shower had great pressure.
Breakfast was amazing, with some many options that you can spend hours trying to figured out what to eat! They have an egg station and also a crepe station. Several fresh fruit juices and a lot of pastries, cheese, etc.
We ate at both restaurants located inside the hotel. Food is pricey compared to Egypt standards but cheaper than Canada/US. Food was delicious and big portions. The have a free chocolate stand everyday, in the lobby.
Overall a great stay. I’d definitely come back and recommend this hotel. I wish I could spend more time enjoying the facilities like pool and garden.

The hotel and the rooms are too old, in particular, the design style and the furnitures. We can see that the staff has been trying to maintain the best condition and keep the furniture clean but the furniture and decoration are really quite old. When the rooms are not cheap, I do not expect the rooms are that old.
The hotel is located in the island which requires us to take the boat provided by the hotel from the city to the island. The boat operates 24 hours 7 days so it would not be any problem for this.
Apart from that, our stay in Movenpick was still good and peaceful. The breakfast was normal; the room service is good; check-in and check-out are smooth; the transfer boat is good as well.

Breakfast is wonderful with variety of fruits and local food.
In addition, the breakfast restaurant opens early in the morning for customers who have early morning flights, and was open as early as 4 a.m. This was my first time experiencing such hospitality in a hotel, and I was very surprised.
