Jo the care taker is very nice and friendly to give whatever help and advice needed for a visitor new to the place. The room is clean and in fact the whole building seems to have just been renovated.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at Arran Lodge. The hosts were so friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was superb!

Me and 3 of my friends strayed here as we coming down from N.Devon to see a show in Paignton on a girly weekend. The hosts were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them and the rooms were lovely and clean and had extra touches like a basket full of toiletries if you had forgotten anything. We had adjoining rooms with a door connecting them so it made it one room. The breakfast was amazing and so much choice, I don’t know how they do it with what we payed for the 4 of us, other places we probably would have the paid the price each. Definitely stay here again. The location was ideal for our trip, just a few minutes walk from the train station and close to the town. The Arran Lodged looked welcoming from the outside and didn’t disappoint once inside. Lovely homely decor and a wonderfully friendly greeting from Deneys. Check in was seamless and quick and we were shown to our room and shown the basics like how to operate the shower and where everything we might need was. The room was decorated to an exceptional standard, very spacious and well laid out with plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space, more than enough for our short stay. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was perfect and had little touches with regard to toiletries and all the things you might need and may have forgotten! After a great nights sleep breakfast lived up to the rest of the B&B, choices made the night before and everything cooked to perfection, more friendly chat with Deneys & Helga, and then time to say goodbye. We had a fantastic short and sweet stay at the Arran and if we’re ever in the area again, we’ll certainly be spending our night there. Thanks very much for looking after us and making our stay so enjoyable.

Just an overnighter but could have stayed so much longer! Such an unexpected, welcome find - quality, cleanliness & commitment to high standards are obvious from the moment you walk in and the (upgraded - thank you) room was comfortable - luxurious in fact - and full of homely touches and practical little extras. The bottled water & milk were a nice touch and the toiletries / tea & coffee etc were top of the range, as were the hosts! Genuinely welcoming and both striking just the right balance between friendliness & professionalism. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious - well worth £5, especially when you consider how much most hotels charge for a buffet of stuff that looks as if it's been left lying around since daybreak. Good-sized powerful shower. Bedroom & communal area cleverly decorated & furnished - feels like an African safari lodge! There is parking but Torre railway station is only 5 mins away, as is a local bus stop on the main Newton Abbot - Brixham route. Nice & quiet ares though. Can't find any fault and would 100% recommend for any length of stay. Thank you to hosts D&H!

Everything you could ask for. Easy and welcoming at check-in. Nothing was too much trouble. Clean and well appointed rooms. An excellent breakfast, couldn’t fault it. Also a great location, just 50mtr from the train station and bus stop.

What a lovely stay, everything was excellent, the Hostesses were amazing welcoming so friendly couldn’t do enough for you the breakfast unbelievable highly recommend.will be staying again in the future.

Attention to detail, choc on pillow, hot water bottles in bed for added comfort, 5 star breakfast, fresh orange juice, fantastic coffee, friendly accommodating hosts. Lovely place. Parking onsite. Late check out. Accommodated us arriving early. Highly recommend.

No request is too much trouble for the hosts, who go above and beyond to ensure a truly comfortable stay. There are also several wonderful beaches within a 10–20 minute drive, perfect if you’d like to explore beyond Torquay seafront.

A gem of a place! We had a lovely stay, the rooms had everything we needed, a warm welcome and amazing breakfast. We will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends if they need a place to stay when in Torquay.

The hosts Dennis and Helga made us feel so welcome. They were very attentive to our needs. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast choice was fantastic. The location was excellent being close to public transport. Parking was right in front of the property. Highly recommend.
