We loved our stay at this hotel. Clean rooms good and polite staff everything was a 10. My partner and I will definitely be coming back

Will be my go-to hotel in Derby now. I often stop in Derby and have only just discovered this hotel. Really impressive all round

I think it’s extremely over priced for what it is. The staff couldn’t have been less engaging if they tried and when I asked for a bottle of water for my room I got charged £5.20… for water. Also my room wasn’t cleaned and the pillows were a joke.. very poor

Very good hotel,we had an issue with the heating in the room but informed reception who offered to move us to another room or put a heater in our room,we took up the latter and had a nice meal in the restaurant and when we went back to the room the heater was already there,so 1st class service.

Room was ok, location close to the railway station. The door lock for the room was rather annoying and hard to use, what was wrong with simple swipe cards! Temperature of the room was rather stuffy, and the temperature control did not change that.

Great location if visiting Pride Park. Close to the railway station and stadium. Clean, comfortable room. It was great to be able to use the hotel bar before the football, as other pubs were very busy or home fans only.

The room on the surface looked absolutely spotless. The smell, on the other hand, was on a different level! There is definitely a drainage issue here! We settled with tolerance on the 4th room offered. On reflection, I wish we hadn't as the smell developed over the evening. We slept with the window open to ease the smell, but it made for a very cold night. We are due to stay for a 2nd night tonight, but despite logging our issue last night we are unable to get a refund as we didn't opt for the cancellation policy. I have raised a complaint as the move is not out of choice, but we have been told that they need 24 hours to respond! We stayed here last year, and returned for an event this year. I won't make the same mistake again next year!
