There were two items on the floor left by the previous occupiers of the room, not good. The was not a bedside light on one side of the bed. It was very noisy woke my husband up at 2.30am , when I mentioned this when cheeking out I was told that there are often weddings on a Saturday since we were not part of the wedding we should have had a room away from noise.

Lovely location

No one on reception at check in. Rang phone on desk twice - nobody answered. Found them chatting down the corridor. Hotel really out dated and needs new no squeaking floor boards throughout. World’s slowest lift doors. Breakfast good though.

Customer service was incredibly rude to my father and lovely to me. Funny how I look English and he’s middle-eastern. Was horrible to hear about his experience.

I feel it is in need of redecoration and a revamp

The hotel was in a good position to break our journey down to Devon, this is why we chose it. The hotel is serviceable but dated, both in the bedrooms and the public areas.

The room was tiny and incredibly warm. No air conditioning or fan. Small window that didn’t open very far.

Lovely 2nd stay at this hotel. Large room with beautiful views of the Bristol channel. Room had everything I needed, very comfortable bed. Having a restaurant and bar onsite is a plus for me.This time I had lunch and dinner at the restaurant on both days. I thought the food was a bit overpriced for the portion sizes. Breakfast options are good with plenty to choose from. Room and communal areas are clean and tidy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back myself.

Fantastic view from our room and easily walkable to shops and cafes. The hotel buildings are old and a bit tired but the welcome is warm and the food is great.

Lovely room and the view was amazing. TV in the room had no picture, just audio and I did mention this when I checked out. 4 poster bed looked amazing but was rather lumpy so difficult to get comfy. Plenty of room in the room. Seats by the window were great. Huge, roomy bathroom and shower. Food in the restaurant was ok but pricey. Breakfast was lovely - buffet style continental and cooked.

The hotel is ok. A bit tired in places and creeks on the bedroom floors. The staff were attentive and polite.

Nice hotel, free parking and nice staff. Our room was on the second floor so in the roof essentially and very hot with only a small velux window so needed a fan going all night. The mattress was not good and I suspect quite old. Staff are lovely and moved us to another room on the same floor as we had a wasp nest just outside the velux window.

Blind in bathroom filthy. Rip in quilt cover. Bed very uncomfortable and wobbly. Toilet too near radiator. Taps not clean. Towels stained.

The room didn’t have shelf in the bathroom to put toothbrush on etc, towels were difficult to reach above toilet . No fridge to keep things cool. Very small room and no provisions for dog such as dog water bowl despite charging £10 extra per night. The staff were very friendly but the hotel had very little suitable area for the dog . Not really a dog friendly hotel as advertised in my opinion. I felt it was expensive for what it was . Pets pyjamas do it so well I will stick with them from now on

We have stayed many times & have always had better rooms than this stay. The room was small & the bed was hard and lumpy. Getting out of the walk-in shower was tricky as it was a big step down through a tiny opening, with a low window ledge jutting out into the gap and the toilet directly in front of it.

The executive room we had was very clean with an amazing view. The bed was not very comfortable and pillows very hard. The only restaurant open in the evening was The Terrace with a limited menu. Disappointing. However the food was very good. Breakfast choice was good and staff lovely and helpful.

Difficulty finding parking space after a long drive, stuck in traffic in hot weather - arrived at 8.45 pm and wasn’t even able to get a sandwich to eat - no aircon which due to the age of the hotel I understand may be difficult but it was so hot couldn’t sleep so at least a fan should be provided. No spare toilet roll and was not changed so ran out. Very creaky floor both in the hall outside the room and in the room above. The only positive was the location as we were going on a boat from Clevedon pier .
