room was terrible, old, dated tv, remote didnt work properly, walls thin could here both rooms next to me. cold, bed stiff, pillows dirty and not been refreshed. overall the hotel is in poor condition, horrible smell throughout. staff were not bothered and expressed how un happy they are, cleaners left all the cleaning equipment in the hall; way so had to maneuver around them to check out,

We were disappointed with our rooms. We had an upgrade to a standard room but our friends didn’t and their room was very small. Also there were cobwebs in the room around the ceilings.

Whole hotel staff and area was so lovely and quiet staff was friendly and rooms were clean

A comfortable place to stay, close to both Weston-super-Mare and Cheddar Gorge Staff were very friendly and responsive I will stay there again!

Very dirty room, no spa open on arrival next day poor communication from staff, resulted in waiting over 1hr for staff to switch on . Overall very dated accomodation. Would not recommend this a stay at place

The staff go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as pleasurable as it can be for the price paid. Food is good, beds comfortable, quiet and secure location, plenty of parking, nice spa! What more could one want?

There was an Indian wedding being held when I stayed. It was horrendously noisy with the sound travelling right up to Rm3. The guests were very noisy in the corridors and rooms above too. I'd advise you find out if similar functions are being held before you confirm your stay. The hotel is quite tired and very old fashioned now.

Nice character main building and fantastic views. A few points could do with improvement. Access for disabled and those with poor mobility is terrible. I had trouble with the shower in my room. My room overlooked a courtyard. People used the courtyard for smoking, and as windows were open due to the hot weather, the smell of the smoking inevitably entered my room.

Great place to stay

The hotel is in a lovely location but it is a bit dated. We used the pool and the steam room. The pool isn't big so you do have to book a slot. There was only 4 beds by the pool and no chairs which meant people were limited if they wanted to relax by the pool. We ate at the hotel and opted for a meal on the bar rather than the restaurant. The menu was better in the bar and it was served very quickly. I had the homemade chicken and leek pie and my husband had the chicken curry. Both were piping hot and delicious. The staff were all very professional and efficient. We were upgraded and had a lovely room. The hotel does need updating but it didn't spoil our stay

Very dated for price

Nous avions choisi cet hôtel pour sa piscine et son spa. Attention la piscine doit être réservé par créneau de 30 minutes, nous n’avons pas testé le spa. L’hôtel n’est pas adapté à un séjour en famille, les chambres sont vieillottes Le personnel, en revanche est fort sympathique

Second time staying for a quick 2 night break away. Breakfast is excellent. The last room in main house was better than the latest one in the annexe. The bed wasn't particularly comfy and we both had backache but what I find too soft someone else will find ok. We love cycling the Strawberry line nearby and the local Thai restaurant in Cheddar is a must! Pool water is clean and clear... would we stay again...Yes.

Nice position and views especially from outside seating area ,used hotel as a base to visit local beaches around weston supermare ,pool booking times easy to sort nice size pool ,gym was nice size and layout staff friendly old style building ,road system easy from Northamptonshire approx 3 hours hotel ,short 10 minute drive from motorway
