I was really looking forward to visiting Bedford again as I moved to another country 9 months ago and was back to visit family. The stay at this apartment really let it down. When staying anywhere I simply expect it to be clean & have a decent bed to sleep! After all that’s what it’s mainly for! Sadly these two needs were far from met.
Where do I start :
1) The apartment booked was not the one I was given. I was advised this on check in. (Again I wasn’t too fussed to start with as the size wasn’t a problem )
2) The photos advertised may be when things where new but the apartment was far from the clean fresh look the images portray. I would go as far as to say this place is dirty and grimey.
Dishwasher stunk sour and had manky food inside. I later found it didn’t work either, or open fully!
The oven had one dirty tray and no foil or dishes to cook other than a few cheap Rotton pans.
No tea towels to dry hands to dry dishes - no washing liquid just a empty bottle? And used dirty scourers.
The carpets throughoutare absolutely filthy!
And there’s not one bit of furniture without a big gash or stain on it.
The kettle was so limescale encrusted I bought a travel one the large Tesco up the road.
The windowsills were filthy! No light bulbs - simple basics!
The seat in the hallway had that many stains I wouldn’t even let a dog use it. Mould in bin!
Anyway the sofa it was for 2 nights. so glad my kids were not with me. NEVER AGAIN!
