Tucked away in unspoilt countryside . It was indeed a warm, cosy double. Soft muted colours, furry blankets, gorgeous comfortable bed. Felt immediately at home' . The garden with twinkling lights and restaurant decoration are charming and food first class. We canx our booking due to an unforeseen hospital stay but could then make it and staff handled this effectively- thank you . We loved it and will be back. Thank you so much x

Amazing stay in a lovely classic room and super friendly staff. Breakfast was good and the meal evening before for 14 of us was very tasty and served promptly. Will definitely stay again

On the face of it, a nice pub with rooms (not really a hotel). Check-in was good, Breakfast was nice, there is on-site EV charging, and the rooms were fitted out nicely. However fundamentally the rooms are not fit for purpose. Our room was downstairs with another room above and you could hear every single footstep and conversation, which went on from 11pm to 1am. Also the bathroom ceiling was covered in fresh black mould in the shower due to lack of ventilation. Brought both to the attention of the staff in the morning. They apologised. But sadly would not recommend anyone to stay there for these reasons.

Good, peaceful one night stay, in pleasant room with garden facility, and reasonably good service. Disappointing and limited dinner menu . Better b’fast menu but unfortunately the porridge was not as described.

We had no problems with the pub itself. Lovely room, clean and comfortable What let it down was the food and menu. For breakfast only granola was available, no ordinary cereals, no white or brown toast, only sourbread. Full English was available but not everyone wanted it Evening meals we thought were expensive for what you got.

Gorgeous room and property, perfect for a midsummer stay. Room had a private patio which was lovely. First stayed here last summer and I think some areas could do with a freshen-up since then. Ate in the restaurant which was quite disappointing; a distinctly average steak and overdone chips.

Super old building easy parking simple quick check in, dog friendly, polite fun staff, parts of the place need some urgent investment, but shower room i had was new ish and excellent, rooms spotless and quiet. Kitchen breakfast wide choice great eggs and mushrooms. Good coffee. Dinner more good ingredients with some unusual pairings. Steaks costly.. The staff were all excellent and remembered names and showed interest in whatever it was you were doing For them alone it is worth a visit.

Great little place to stay - a little tired and needing some maintenance but it didn’t detract from it being very nice Great dog walk to the rear of the property

Nice country pub, but if a business traveller, be aware that breakfast doesn’t start until 8:00a.m.

The room I was given was an accessible room on the ground floor so asked to change. This cost more which wasn’t great but the place was v friendly. The dinner prices are high.

Met up with friends, good food, good service! All good Accommodation very reasonable

Hotels.com allowed me to book a hotel with 5 minutes before checking closes, and I was an hour away. I have lost my booking money.
