The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff friendly.

Well located in the centre of Scarborough and close to all shopping and amenities. A few minutes walk and you’re down on the seafront, funicular available for those who don’t dance the walk back up. Parking is always a pain in Scarborough but there’s an NCP car park across the road (£12 for 24 hours as at June 2025). Breakfast was well cooked and filling.

The hotel did everything they could to meet my requirements of my break.

Stayed here with my wife for 1 night very noisey in the room pillows were like lying on sand, bed very uncomfortable rooms very dated would not recommend this place at all. But nice breakfast in the morning.Staff very pleasant tho

Had a great stay great room arrived early and was able to get our room owner is great as are all the staff We parked at multi story car park just across the road palm court £12.50 for 24hrs Unfortunately we has to leave a day early but Would definitely recommend

Fantastic from start to finish, lovley warm welcome, gorgeous comfortable room, amazing breakfast and the staff were excellent particularly the lady that checked us in and the young girl who served breakfast!

We have stayed here quite a few times. it's close to the centre & not too far from the seafront. The staff are friendly. the rooms are clean & comfortable. The full English breakfast is good, plenty of everything

Great place to stay for exploring Scarborough our only problem was that the room had no opening windows and we were just too hot . There was a fan provided but with no fresh ventilation it was a bit pointless

Location was great, close to beach and amenities. Bar staff were friendly. Breakfast staff were very inattentive, food was inedible - all meat items burnt and egg uncooked, hash brown was charred black - I would have been embarrassed to serve it.

Property is in a good area close to the town centre and the beach across from the tram down to the seafront.Room was clean and tidy with a comfortable double bed although you could hear passing traffic and the seagulls if your a light sleeper. Breakfast the next day was freshly cooked with a choice of cereal, fruit juice and fresh coffee.All in all a good place to stay at a reasonable price

An excellent stay. The staff were friendly throughout and the hotel was great value for money, with a very good breakfast. The location is excellent with easy access to Scarborough town centre and the South Bay

Another great stay at the Dickens Inn. The room was very clean & the bed very comfortable.

The economy room was pretty basic and small, wasn't keen on the frosted window in the bedroom. The breakfast was good as was the location.
